Vintage Children

I have waited a while to use this photo plate and the theme on Gothic Arches this week was 'Vintage Children' so I finally got an opportunity.
I opted to use Ranger Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap colour on the plate rather than an ordinary ink stamp. The backing paper is one of my favourites (this was the last sheet too!)and I just used Versacolour around the edges of the arch. A chipboard jigsaw piece and numbers tag fixed through a piece of brown ribbon by a brad and some lace finished the project.
As this is an original photo plate I wonder who these young ladies are? They've got to be sisters and this family photo probably took pride of place in some drawing room a long time ago!
(To have a good look at the photo plate just click on the picture - it will then zoom in so you can see the plate properly).

  6. Oh Viv, they do indeed look like they are sisters. This is lovely in every way. These photo stamps can be difficult to stamp but you have done so beautifully. Love the background paper and the embellishments just add to the feel of the arch.

  19. Hi Viv!
It feels like FOREVER since I've been able to read blogs and respond to nice people like you who have left comments on mine! Being on a remote island off the coast of Maine is a fabulous way to get lots and lots of art created but it is a terrible place for blogging! The MacNamara Foundation only has dial-up service. Anyway, thanks so much for leaving a comment during my stay! It really meant the world to me to know there were other fiber and mixed media artists lending me support!

By the way, your arch looks great as does all the work you've recently posted!
