Vamp!

I have been enjoying the challenges set by Chrissie and Mandi over at Less is More and when I saw today's I knew what I wanted to do....
this week we had to use 3 squares and I have had these 'vampy' stamps for a long time and I think have used them twice!
However, knowing what you want to do and actually doing it are two completely different things!
I can honestly say this is the first card  where lots of 'white space' doesn't please me - I am desperate to add something else (have no idea what or where to put it) but I just feel that something is missing! Maybe it's because I just used plain white card instead of my usual textured linen? Think I should have been brave enough to have used a strong colour as the base for the card - but hey ho - I've done it now so I shall (reluctantly) submit it!
Have no idea who made the three stamps - they were a set I bought in a sale somewhere. I coloured them with promarkers, then simply matted them onto dark red then black chevron designed cardstock.
I shamelessly copied the sentiment from a stamp set (I don't own them - they were sent to me by Maureen!)- but the stamped image I had wasn't the right shape so I printed this out on the PC using the nearest 'roaring twenties' style font that I could find.
Am still thinking about an appropriate greeting for the inside - maybe something like - 'Go On - Get Yourself Remembered!'

This is a great card... the only thing that I can think of that would satisfy your desire for just a little something else on this card would be a slightly bolder border around the background. You have chosen a very narrow one and I think just a little broader wold do the trick.
I love the stamps and you have used them so well!
Your idea for the inner sentiment is terrific!
Great to see you again!

I like this card! The images are beautifully coloured, and I like the stripe. The sentiment is perfect and the font goes so well with the images. Can't think what you would add!

I think you may not like the white space because you have kinda divided the card front with the heavy black. I think it may have pleased you more if one of the matts were white and then placed as separate squares
Having said that I don't think there is too much white!! Also the sentiment may have looked better straight onto the card...all this in my humble opinion of course!
Thank you so much for joining us again Viv

It can be really frustrating when you can't quite figure out what's missing on a card! I think Chrissie is right in suggesting maybe the boarders could be a tad wider. Or you could add some ribbon around the top maybe?

I think it's lovely and quite cheeky too!

Viv, I know what you mean about feeling like the card is missing something. I think that every time I make a CAS card! LOL! I LOVE these images...and would love to have them. I think I might have draw a solid line as a border about 1/2 inch inside the edge of the card and another line inside that one about 1/8 inch...making a double line border. However...with that being said...it really looks great just like it is!

Its super in its simplicity and I don't think it needs more either. My first attempt at CAS left me thinking more was needed but I've now embraced my inner minimalist!!!

Those are amazing images which are coloured beautifully. Think the stripe that frames them is very dramatic and goes so well with the sentiment block. Hugs Cherry XXx
