Getting On

Have been completely uninspired whilst I have had my few free days - really irritating! I thought perhaps I should just then go and make a start on a few Christmas cards - brain blank!
Had to seek inspiration elsewhere and am beginning to wonder if Pinterest really IS such a good thing 'cos maybe it is TOO easy to just go trawling and find something to CASE instead of thinking for yourself?
Anyway I opted for the 'too easy' course and had a quick trawl and then remembered the new Muse Challenge  (No 188) and the lovely colour Jenni had used on her CAS card.
So armed with a starting point of the colour and the placement of an edged panel, I came up with this -
I am beginning to be more and more drawn to CAS- in particular for Christmas as they're good for making batches! And I hope I am mastering the technique without it looking too plain.

A snippet of white card, masked off the bottom and used a 1p piece for the masking of the moon! (All I had on the desk.....LOL)

Brushed on some Tumbled Glass DI and used a much neglected  Pine Branch Stamp inked in Versafine Smokey Gray.

Ran the piece through a snow EF and then matted it onto a snippet of black card.
The sentiment is from SU.

I made a couple like this using different colours for the sky and a berry stamp - will share these later.

Quite happy with these and at least I have made a start!!!

Pixies Playground - Snippets Week 251

This is lovely Viv...so calm and serene (bet you don't feel calm ad serene). When sre our mojo's going to come home...have they eloped together? Mind you i don't think you are doing to badly. I am much better thanks...antibiotics for what ended in bronchitis!! Really flattened me but ...very flu type thing...hope that's my lot for this winter now!! Just want some motivation, inspiration and creation!! Take care xx

A stunningly beautiful card, Viv! I love it! Pinterest isn't a bad thing if it can inspire beautiful cards like this! Hope you feel more mojo soon. I tend to mostly find that lack of mojo is proportional to an increase in free time or an abundance of new stash! When I have no time to make anything I have heaps of ideas!

Well I think this is fabulous ,a really calm and peaceful card and so glad that you managed to make a few of them. Sometimes I think that some cards are far too over loaded that the actual image is lost. Gosh, just read some other comments above, which I never do and it seems like we all have very similar views on this card, so looks like you have really cracked this one.
Love it.

A peaceful and joyous card indeed Viv. Well done on this lovely CAS Christmas card, you nailed it!

Hope Mr Mojo comes back soon for you . . . very annoying when he ups and leaves when you want to play!

I agree with your Pinterest comments. I spend far too long looking at everyone else's creations and not enough time making my own! Having said that, it is a very useful resource and I actively try to CASE from it, otherwise what's the point in keeping pins????? LOL!

Hugs, Sarn xxx
