Blogger Blues!

Evening everyone! Am not sure I like Blogger supposedly 'improving' things.... changes have not improved anything at all in my book  - a pain in the wotsit if you ask me. Why fix it if it ain't broken???
Anyway, here's a card from me today....
We had snow earlier this week. It lay for a couple of days - not a thick covering but enough so that the sheep in the filed looked like they had midget legs!
The snow there though was white - not Pool Party!
This is something that I saw on Pinterest (where else) and liked the idea so here's my version!

I have not bought any new stash for months and months and the trouble is there's so much new stuff about I have no idea which I really want -  and of course come February am I ever going to have any time to use it?

Hence I don't have any of the stitched dies - so I improvised and used a Dovecraft ruler which has perforated holes in it - which is why they aren't straight!!
Sentiment embossed in white and a bit of silver thread used for the 'tag'.
Just used two different snowflake stamps onto my fave white linen card.
Finished with some sparkly blingy.

Your card is beautiful, I love the colour combo Viv. I'm with you, not buying any more craft stuff till I make a small dent at least in what I have in this craft room!!

Oh Viv you are NO 1 in my admiration list...firstly I TOTALLY AGREE about blogger...why fix what ain't broke...much prefer it as it was!!! Secondly good on you not buying any new stuff.....think of the money you have saved and thirdly your card is lovely and great improvisation with the piercing...looks pretty fine to me. Lovely card...like the design and colours! Now shall we organise a protest march??.......lol xx

i think much of the stuff we buy makes it easier for us, but it's very possible to do it the manual way and obtain the same look, like you've demonstrated here. Love the colors and your 'randomly organized' placement of the snowflakes.

Lovely make and images - such pretty colours.

I opened up my dashboard Wednesday morning and thought "What the frack"!!! I can deal with not seeing my reading list but I really WISH I still got the "you have comments awaiting moderation" indicator ... had to nip in to settings and add my e-mail address so now I get an e-mail that there are comments awaiting moderation - better than nothing. I wonder why they fixed something that wasn't actually broken!!! Perhaps they are just testing us!

Happy Thanksgiving!

A very quick visit to look at your latest creation and also ask that if you have the new blogger dashboard changes and dislike it as much as most seem to, then would you please take a quick look at my post today and add your support.

LOVE POOL PARTY - and it makes for great snowflakes IMHO!
What's happening in Feb that is going to prevent you from crafting then? Are you becoming PRESIDENT (of bowls).I know you're not going to be the USA president . . . that slot has apparently been filled!

Hi Viv
Long time no hear! I hope you are doing well. I love your super cool CAS card (always wonder how people are able to make CAS cards this beautiful - mine always seem to miss something lol).
I don't like the new blogger thing, it's confusing and you have to click more to get where you want. Just annoying. I don't like all these changes; like the silly updates on your phone.
Anyway, have a lovely rest of this foggy Sunday (at least it is foggy in Switzerland).
xoxo, Ally
PS: This is my new blog: http://ellysandallysadventures.blogspot.ch/ maybe one day you find time to check it out :)

I think this is really pretty Viv and I have a ruler for making perforations, and I find it incredibly difficult to keep it straight. I have seen Sue Wilson anchoring one of those with an extra pokey tool as you go to keep it straight but I think personally it is much more difficult than it looks. I love the colour of the snowflakes and the tag and border, such a gorgeous blue, and the sentiment and bling finish it perfectly. x
