A week?

Have spent a couple of days this week just a short drive from home in the beautiful Lake District. My duties start again next week so it was nice to just spend a couple of days away relaxing. My travelling starts again next week and although it is not as intense a year for me there is still much expected and much mileage involved!

This make came about by me trying to practice making scenes.
I have no idea why I chose to colour it pink - although in my defence I did a similar one in blue.
I am not sure about that one either!
I am hoping that someone somewhere likes it......😊
Picked Raspberry, Victorian Velvet and Spun Sugar.
I matted it onto a piece of black card but when I put onto a white base it was really stark and 'in your face'. My solution was to brush the ink dusters over the white card......  😨
I am hoping that those 'master scene makers' out in blogland will be kind when commenting!
I am linking up at Allsorts where the challenge is 'Pink' and also over at Crop Stop's May's Linky Party (Anything Goes)

It is a really nice day here so am going to spend a couple of hours fiddling with the patio pots.
Thanks for visiting - will be around to catch up with you all later - Enjoy your Day! x

Brushing the stark white frame was a brilliant touch - lovely scene, inspired I guess by your surroundings

Such a beautiful scene and the pink color gives it a sunset feel!
I'd love for you to link up to the Cropstop blog where it's always "Anything Goes" as long as you use a product or two from one of the companies they carry in the store. (You did!)

This is absolutely gorgeous Viv and I think the pink works really well, it looks like a stunning sunset. I don’t own any of these stamps but they’re definitely on my crafty wish list. Enjoy the rest of you weekend. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

Always love to be reminded of these wonderful Stampscape images, and forget that I have a lot of them (from early stamping days). I think the pink is wonderful in creating a mood for this lovely forest & water scene. It could be an early morning sunrise, or a soft evening sunset. I've seen skies like this, and you've used these stamps extremely skillful to create the serenity on this card. The sentiment is perfect! Well done, and enjoy your time away. Would love to visit the Lake District...it sounds so lovely when I read about it.TFS

Hi Viv

A truly beautiful scene. I wouldn't have the foggiest idea where to start creating this .. .. super lovely and there is nothing wrong with pink! Is it a shepherd's warning or a shepherd's delight I wonder ?!?!?

Happy and safe travels!

Love Jules xx

I don't know why you are not sure about this card Viv, I think it's gorgeous. Nature throws some amazing different coloured skies at us so why not pink.

I think the pink tones are perfect Viv, and it reminds me of a gorgeous red sky at sunset, though in truth the sun is a bit high in the sky, but it's all about poetic licence, and it works beautifully. I'm sorry we will be a bit short on your crafty company again this year, but I'm sure it will be great to get out and about again. So pleased you had a lovely time in the Lake District. x
