Weather??

So I was woken up at 4am by lashing rain and winds that were as strong as they were in winter. Crazy weather. T shirts and shorts and under the parasol all week and now today it's wellies, mac and a sore back with leaning into the gale!
Annoyed too as I had some plants in pots out on the patio that the wind thought would be fun to lift and tip over. I have one very sorry for itself rhododendron and others (particularly the standards) who have had branches broken off  and their flowers bashed to bits- I am NOT happy!
Even more concerning is that I am supposed to be catching a flight to Belfast later today and currently all are delayed - so the sentiment on this card is what I am doing - daring to dream - that
1. The flight won't be delayed for ever and
2. the weather improves for the next 5 days (although I am not hopeful looking at the forecast).

I just made inky with this as I was desperate to try out this unicorn stamp!
DI's used - Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, Abandoned Coral and Barn Door on the sky.
Seedless Preserve, Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender and Picked Raspberry on the ground.
Edged the whole piece with Black Soot.
Stamps from Lavinia and Inklylicious and the sentiment is so old I have no idea which company made it!
Dotted a little bit of schparklie here and there before matting onto black.

Sorry to hear about your delayed flight. Yes we had horrendous winds last night too and just like you a bit upset about my pots and annuals and the broken stems etc. Such beautiful colours on your dreamy card. The dark silhouette stamping look fabulous against that amazing background x.

Gorgeous background with super colours and some lovely images.
Was my youngest Grandson's sports day today, I had my winter coat and hat on and a pair of gloves, no rain, it tried but thankfully didn't succeed.
Hope you managed to get your flight eventuall.

I love the black against these bold colours and the little bit of sparkle. We haven't had any rain for weeks and are having to water, happily haven't yet had the gales either. Hope your week improved.

A gorgeous scene with the silhouettes and the pretty foliage round the edges to frame it and love the bold colour combination which works brilliantly Viv. It was quite a while ago now but hope your flowers have survivied and that your flight was not too long delayed. x
