Time for my mid month post for
CAS Mix Up! It's Watercolour time this month and our challenge theme has been set by
Loll which is
'BEACH'.
I stamped the bottle image (which was part of a freebie set some time ago)
and heat embossed first before watercolouring with my watercolour paints.
A
simple stitched die and mounted onto a hammer textured card base. I wish I
could draw and watercolour freehand but no chance so it's stamping and colouring for me!)
We are happy to have as our Guest Designer
There are already some great cards in the gallery and we look forward
to seeing yours if you've not already linked in!

Very nice card, lovely designed and coloured. ♥
ReplyDeleteI love how you can see the ocean and sand through the glass bottle, the same way as irl. This card is beautifully done.

Love your card,a gorgeous scene.xxx
ReplyDeleteRefreshing. Love the pureness of this cleanly designed stamp. The colouring is fabulous, leaving the four corners white makes this card airy and clean. Not to say the sentiment is the perfect match for this beautiful card. Truly CAS! xx

A clever sentiment with this stunning scene. Could you tell us what the note says! I'm asking for a friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Viv - I popped over to comment on your masculine card for Stamping Sensations but spotted this beauty too. Had to leave a comment - just love your beach scene with the message in a bottle - clever sentiment for it too!
ReplyDeleteYou always come up with such great ideas for your cards. Love this message in a bottle. Heck , now I am singling The Sting song. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome beach scene and a brilliant note in the bottle, Viv! The hammered paper makes a perfect frame!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card, I love your little message in a bottle card. Your water colouring is wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea for a summer card Viv, and love the stamped scene. Your colouring of it is brilliant and love the colours, so bright and pretty. Thank you for the tip to fix the double spacing. When they eventually get rid of the old blogger format entirely I shall give it a try. I am just hoping that the silly glitches will have been fixed by then..flying pigs spring to mind..lol. There are certain aspects of the new format that I do prefer, but just wish they would not leave the testing of the thing to us Bloggers, it is so irritating when all you want to do is draft a post and publish it looking the way you would expect it to look..not really too much to ask is it? OK grumble over. x
ReplyDeleteFabulous beach scene you've created Viv! Lovely watercolouring of this secluded beach ... wish I was there to see what the note says! Clever sentiment! xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card, the sentiment goes perfectly with this image.

ReplyDeleteI love it! Makes me think what I would put as the message given the times we are living in and the morons we are living amongst
