The challenge to use a stencil over a coloured background provided the perfect opportunity to use up this piece of blue inky background.
I used a small Raindrops stencil and after sponging the white ink, I clear embossed.

Quite happy with the effect the clear embossing gave the drops!
The umbrella is from SU's Weather Together set, stamped in Versafine Majestic Blue onto a snippet of card and fussy cut.
The sentiment is from the same set and I used another sentiment 'I'm here for you' on the inside.

Great piece of panel, the raindrops came out beautifully! I like how you used only blue and white, it makes the card looking crisp and clean.

Hi Viv
ReplyDeleteA great background technique .. .. it looks ideal alongside that umbrella .. .. plus it always feels satisfying to use up a piece of paper that has been shuffling around the desk a while.
Hope you had a lovely bank holiday weekend.
Love Jules xx
Great use of the pretty blue background that was getting shifted about on your desk LOL x The raindrops look great, along with the umbrella and the perfect sentiment x.
ReplyDeleteHi Viv! I've just had a poke around your blog, and I'm delighted with your talent! All of the cards I've just seen are so pretty and perfectly made! I love your style! I totally agree that when other things on your mind, it's hard to get the creative juices flowing, too, but it seems like you got them moving here on this wonderfully made card. Don't you just love it when you can take a discarded piece and make it into a gorgeous card like this?! Wow! Thank you so much for your visit to my blog and leaving your sweet comment! Hugs!
