By now all the decorations will be stored away and doesn't your home look bare?!
I actually like it when all the Christmas clutter has gone and my house is 'back to normal'!
Our first challenge of the year at Try It On Tuesday is called 'Feeling Blue' (which I hope you're not).
I used one single ink pad for this make - Salty Ocean oxide - and it took no time at all to do.
Ink blending liberally splashed with water first.
Stamped the images from a really old Art Journey set using the Oxide and then hunted for a sentiment.
I didn't want a specific greeting as I have no idea what I will use this card for and wanted something generic.
I quite like this one, have had it for ever- no idea who's it is but it's mounted on red rubber and was bought well before clear stamps were a 'thing'!
Hope you can find time to join us this time - please visit the BLOG and see some of the lovely makes from the rest of the creative team.
Have a lovely day whatever you're doing. x
Such a beautiful card! Such a pretty design and I love the wording too 😊. Yes, everything looks bare around the house now and so much bigger ...lol! Wishing you all the very best for 2025 ❤️ . Happy January! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteA lovely study in blue and the generic sentiment is a good idea, works well on this card.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful monochrome card, love the sentiment and beautiful teasel stamp.

I love the look of this, such a lovely blue and that stamp may be an oldie but it is definitely a goodie. I am trying very hard to stave off the winter blues xx
ReplyDeleteMy house always feels 10 times bigger once the holiday decorations are gone. I do miss the Christmas tree though. Your card is very lovely. It looks like snow has hit too with some of your white spots. Very pretty. Happy new year to you and I hope 2025 is going well. hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteThe Salty Ocean is a beautiful blue Viv and I love the Art Journey teasels which I have too, and a lovely sentiment and some splattering to finish. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all the best for 2025. x
ReplyDeleteHi Viv
ReplyDeleteAlways seems a shame putting all the Christmas things away .. .. .. especially the fairy lights .. .. .. but everywhere does look suddenly tidy afterwards (albeit a little bare).
A great card and love the way you have managed to create it using just one ink pad!
We had a lovely first Christmas in our new home thank you - we are slowly getting straight and organised.
Hope all is good at your end and I wish you all the best for 2025.
Have a good weekend.
Love and hugs
