Snowflakes is the challenge for the next two weeks at TRY IT ON TUESDAY.
I re-visited an old (and sometimes messy) technique of Stencil Monoprint. I made several cards like this some time back and I enjoyed doing them again.
You get a different result each time from the same stencil!
I used Chipped Sapphire Oxide. Swiped over the stencil, sprayed it with water then pressed it onto some watercolour paper.
I really like the artsy imperfect images.
When dry I stamped the sentiment in dark grey and then overstamped and white heat embossed.
I love the snow - there is nothing better than bright blue skies and a white snow blanket everywhere - as long as you're inside with a mug of hot chocolate looking out that is...... 🍵

Great technique and a brilliant result. I agree, snow is best enjoyed from indoors and the hot chocolate idea also appeals 😊
This is great. I love the soft look and the shadow on the sentiment. I agree about the snow. It is only good if you are inside and don't have to go anywhere xx
I love this technique, you really got a great print with lots of detail, I love the card xx
A lovely card Viv, love the soft background this technique gives and the shadow stamping looks fabulous. Avril xx
Fabulously snowy and I love how you did the sentiment.
Agree about the snow - my days of excitement and going out to play in it and making snowmen are long gone! 🥲
