Half way!

We're mid way through our SPARKLE ALL THE WAY theme at TRY IT ON TUESDAY

My make for the start of the challenge is HERE if you've not seen it

And here's another card which is especially sparkly and consequently especially difficult to show!

This is another very quick Christmas card for my stash.

I used black glitter paper for the background - not usually my thing but I actually quite like how it turned out.

The sparkle effect is immense in real life.

A very simple card, just a couple of die cut snowflakes from white glitter card with a tiny gem in the centre of each and a sentiment also from the white glitter card.

A few tiny snowflakes which were the waste from another die!

You still have time to join us - and we'd love to see you! x

Mid Month at Try It On Tuesday

A little reminder of our current challenge at Try It On Tuesday which is called 'Sparkle All The Way'.
This is a remake of a card I made a few Christmases ago and it turned out to be one of my faves so every year I make a couple to send.

Sparkly die cut branch and a set of die cut sparkly stars on an ink blended background of Chipped Sapphire and Stormy Sky and a liberal helping of posca pen splatters - a really simple card.

The Inkylicious sentiment I think is just beautiful.

Thanks for looking - there's still time to join us if you haven't already - and even if you have you can do so again!!

On a Roll!

So I wait 8 months to make a Christmas card and in the space of 48 hours I have now made 2!

I have been having fun with paper towels again - and so on an odd bit of watercolour card I placed another piece of ink soaked paper towel and sprayed with water.

I ended up with a lovely pale green and pink background piece that I thought may provide a good backdrop for my die cut holly.

Turned out not too bad at all I don't think!

Here's a close up of the glitter on the berries.

Very schparkly!!
(And so's my desk......  no idea how a teeny miniscule tub of glitter has managed to pervade every corner of my desk  - and the floor and beyond๐Ÿ˜ž)

Again there's not a lot of glitter on the card but there IS a bit so this will be my second card for this month's CAS Christmas challenge!

It still seems weird to be making Christmas cards when there are 36 sleeps to go to my holidays (not that I'm counting you understand.......๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž)

Hope you're having a nice day and thanks for stopping by. xx

Bring out the Bunting!

Been a little while since I last posted - the National Championships are in full swing so have spent a few days there, came home for a few days and off again later this week.
BUT.....
BRING OUT THE BALLOONS๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽˆ, SET OFF THE FIREWORKS๐ŸŽ†๐ŸŽ‡, TRUMPET FANFARES PLEASE๐ŸŽบ๐ŸŽบ.......................
I HAVE MADE A CHRISTMAS CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't faint!!
Here it is - for the challenge at CAS Christmas

OK - there isn't a lot of glitter but there is some!

A VERY CAS card but I quite like it so probably will make a batch of smaller ones.

The sentiment was silver embossed and added a few sparklies for a bit more glitter.
The die for the snowflake I'vr had for a while and no idea who's make it is.
A snippet of glitter card which I found in a drawer came in really useful!
Quick and easy!

Don't know about snow but we've had some really weird weather over the last few days - torrential downpours, thunderstorms, bright sunshine - nothing like our summer as I remember them!
Today we have a stiff breeze and white cloud  - perfect for drying the washing but not warm enough to have a cuppa outside!

Sounds to me like a perfect excuse to sit in the craftie space for the rest of the day (only whilst the washing is drying you understand..... ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰ )
Have a great day whatever you're doing! x

Is this Summer?

I flew to Jersey (Channel Islands not USA!) last  Saturday for the British Isles International Series (a couple of pics at the bottom of this post so be warned - picture heavy!)
The British weather is ridiculous at the moment, I burnt the top of my head in strong sunshine (ouch! ๐Ÿ˜ก ) on Monday and then Tuesday we were treated to rain of monsoon proportions ⛆⛆☔, so much so that play was suspended for a short while as the green was flooded.
Home yesterday and have just been outside (in the sunshine) to hang out the washing - and I needed my coat! The wind is really cold here on the top  - I bet those a mile away in the valley are wearing shorts and T shirts!
Anyway enough of my weather reports - here's my make for today.

Appropriately done in the England colours of red white and blue - the firework stamps are by Hunkydory, inked in Majestic Blue and Crimson Red.

The sparkles were done by using Glitter embossing paste through a fireworks stencil.

The red and blue Bakers Twine just wrapped round and tied into a bow to finish.
This card was made for the lady who was my Junior Vice President when I was England President - we became good friends whilst working together and she took over the reins in February. (Should have shared before now๐Ÿ˜ณ!).

Am sharing my make at Alphabet Challenge blog where the theme is G for Glitz.

We stayed on for a couple of days after the series finished  and here are a few pics of pretty Jersey from the ton that we took (and one of the team who dug in and performed brilliantly coping with all the weather that was thrown at them  -  and retained the trophy for the third year in succession!!) #TEAMENGLAND!
