Splatters of Joy

Spent today catching up with some paperwork then had a pleasant little wander round blogland.
Have struggled to find any enthusiasm for anything over the last couple of days after a meeting the other night where tempers in certain quarters became somewhat frayed - got me to thinking that there is rather more to life than aggravation!

Onwards and upwards though so forced myself to actually 'do' something this afternoon - found a couple of challenges and here's the result -
Yep - the dreaded 'one layer' card and not only one layer but CAS and all stamped!
Well out of my comfort zone - no papers, no embellies, (although I MIGHT add a couple of sequins at a later stage - LOL), no nuffink 'cept stamping!

Used a Memory Box 'Whisper Print Geranium' stamp as the centrepiece and simply stamped over it with a variety of different silhouette foliage stamps from different sets.

The splatters are all from a Visible Image set inked in Festive Berries DI.
The sentiment is an old one and one of my favourites - even if I'm not feeling much joy from certain quarters at the moment! I am being reminded by the other half that their dreadful nasty attitude is THEIR problem not mine  -and I have to reluctantly agree!!
Challenges -
Less is More - Splatters
Fantasy Stampers - CAS
Frosted Designs - Splatters
ATSM - CAS

Weather here has taken a turn for the worse after the beautiful week we've had - think we're going to get wet at the Club's Summer Opening Day tomorrow! Just typical!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend whatever you're doing. x

Guess you ain't feeling much joy at the moment.....I feel sadness(the black) and anger(the red) in this card...but I do like it...very different and I think you have done brilliantly with it. It would be well out of my comfort zone too! Funny how what we do or don't do reflects our emotions...chin up and enjoy tomorrow...it's another day. Hugs xx

It is a fab card, Viv, and certainly doesn't look out of your comfort zone! Hope your weekend improves. If all else fails I take my frustration out in the kitchen, beating the hell out of some eggs or a cake!

Maybe out of your confort zone but you have risen to the occasion with this lovely card. I love the over stamping effect. hugs Mrs A.

Stunning Viv, the comment above made me smile, not sure about that and not exactly what I recall when I studied psychology but whatever it's a real eye catcher.

Have a good Sunday and try and stay calm tomorrow evening.

Well, if this is what you produce when you force yourself to do something you've got nothing to worry about, fabulous one layer card. Easier said than done but try not to let others drag you down. Sending hugs and sun from Devon. Thanks for sharing at ATSM this week, Anita x

Viv what a gorgeous card, striking colour choices.
I'm sorry you are having aggro just now and I'm sure you can rise above it!
Years ago my ex said to me that when people get so angry it is usually because they are so far in the wrong it is the only thing they can do... wise words.
