Winter

Happy Monday! I hope today has been a good start to your week.
Back to inkyness again for today's share.
Have quite enjoyed making some 'scenic' cards this year - OK they're not as accomplished as some of you can do here in blogland but I think I AM getting a little better.

I bought this stamp just before Christmas last year and made a couple of cards with it. This time I tried to make more depth and shadows with the ink (see- told you am getting adventurous!)
Because I wanted a much bigger card than the stamp, I also added another smaller berry branch (another Penny Black stamp) at the end of the fence.
I tried too to give the impression that the fence actually disappeared into the snow - not sure I have managed it but hey!

Images stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.
Used some red Stickles on all the berries - on reflection maybe I should have tried some white Pearlies? Might try that next time if I do another!
Inks used - Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Salty Ocean and Weathered Wood.
Have a great day whatever you're doing! 😊x

I think this card is beautiful Viv. The snow really does look quite deep with the shadows that you've made and I think the red berries create the perfect finishing touch. Happy crafting, Sandra x

Fantastic card Viv, love the design and the way the fence disappears into the snow. You have achieved what you set out to do, be proud. It looks perfect. That red sparkle finishes it off perfectly.

This is fabulous Viv and the shadows in the snow are perfect and the branches with the pretty red berries really sing out against the blue and white. You have blended the inks beautifully and the fence post does look as though it is under the snow not on top. Gorgeous! x

What a winter cracker of a card Viv. I simply love what you've done here.

. . . and NO . . . I have NOT had a good start to the week thank you. Work has been pants, quite frankly. However, I like to TRY and remain positive, so I'm sure things will get better!

Gorgeous inking and love how you did "end" the fence into a snow bank. I also like the Stickles red berries. Thank you for joining us this week at Christmas Card Challenges.

I think your snowy scene looks just beautiful! Love this PB image, and you've made it outstanding with the treatment on this pretty card. Your sponging of the snow & sky look perfectly smooth to me, and the berry branch over that halo of a moon, is gorgeous! Enjoyed this fantastic card immensely! TFS

The fence totally looks like it has been covered in a snow drift, Viv! Well done on the whole beautiful iconic winter scene and especially on expanding it in such a natural-looking way!! Hugs, Darnell
