I made this card yesterday.
Sorting through stamps I came across this set of 'Fantastic Birds' - don't know if that is their real name but it's what I called them! This one reminded me of a Pheonix rising from the ashes and in a light bulb moment thought it might work with the dreaded Brushos.
So stamped onto watercolour card then heat embossed to create the 'resist'.
Used Orange, Yellow and Lemon Brushos, sprinkled, sprayed then shut my eyes!!
When I had the nerve to look at the piece I thought 'Hey - not too bad really'! Blotted with some paper towel and left it to dry.
I am not sure it needed the pearls really but put them on anyway and hope it still measures up to being a CAS card - shades of orange and pale gold to highlight the 'flames'.
The sentiment is by Technique Tuesday.

Quite a nice day here - blue sky but chilly! Off to get the carrier bags and hit the shops. Have a great day whatever you're doing. x

Now you've cracked them open I promise you won't leave them alone Viv ! Great card as well.

Taking my hat off and throwing it in the air to you too. this is absolutely gorgeous. I have only ever used my brushos once and that was a mess. Not repeated it again. I love your aptly named bird and the pearls look perfect. Bit of sun here but very, very cold. Not going out today. Must get on and make hubby's card which I had completely forgotten about. Der. Hugs Mrs A.
Hi Viv.....back from the shopping trip yet? Love, love your card...big applause...you really are getting too good! My brushos are still in the unopened pot...next year they will see daylight. I think your phoenix is absolutely beautiful I really do and your background so fits the bill...as for the pearls, i think they finish it off and look good, and they look to have even coloured with the brushos. I should frame this one Viv. Have a lovely Christmas my friend.Hugs xx P.S. may see you in the playground end of week!
Well done Vi - what a stunning background you made using Brushos! Gorgeous bird as well.
You know what, I think you have a good attitude to Christmas! There's way too much hype and frantic spending in the build up - and then it's all over in a few hours! What's not already done here ain't gonna kill us if it isn't done and like you, we only have ourselves to think about :)
Hugs

Round of applause duly given, especially as I haven't got the nerve to even try them.
Gorgeous card, love your colour choice, brings a bit of warmth to a very cold day and evening. Great image too.

STUNNING embossing Viv, love the brusho's background.Beautiful and delightful colours...lovely creation.xx{aNNie}
Well I took my hat off to you actually it was too hot for it anyway. You did it and isnt it brilliant. This stamp is perfect for them so I expect to see a series of cards now with the brushos in all different colour mixes. I can understand your hesitance I too struggle with them. But you have used them here as though you have used them always. Enjoy your Christmas and New Year
You and me both mate . . . just the 2 of us usually, but we don't ALWAYS have the full-on Xmas dinner . . . we've made FESTIVE PIZZA before now . . . cranberry jelly on the base and a sort of deconstructed Xmas dinner for the topping! Just the ticket!
Anyway, I digress . . . you know me . . . I ACTUALLY DID STAND UP AND APPLAUD YOU! Way to go Viv . . . you've cracked open the Brusho's and there'll be no stopping you now. Must get mine back out again. Love'em and love the cool card you've made too.
Festive hugs from Sarnie xxx
I'm glad you didn't give up on those Brushos, Viv, because this is gorgeous! Love how those colors merged together and they do look like fire! Beautiful bird too! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! Good luck with that tree! Happy Christmas!
It's both peaceful and vibrant, a beauty! Brushos, I didn't find them as easy to use as I was given the impression of, but I enjoy them more and more. I use them as watercolors to color in images as well, just blending the powders with water on an acrylic blog and use it as paint. I wish you a merry Christmas, hope you'll have a wonderful time. And thanks for your support and visits this year, it's much appreciated.
A fabulous card Viv and I love the colours. I've only recently got into Brushos myself and I love them, even if they are a bit messy:) Merry Christmas and all the best for 2017. Crafty hugs, Sandra x
This is so beautiful.
Wishing you a Happy Christmas.

Quite the imagination Viv. Well done. Reminds me of a ghostly specter of the phoenix. Love it. We do the same over the holidays. Like you it is only the two of us. Have a Merry Christmas and a super New Year.
Major Hugs and Blessings
