....of the Presidential year! 3 more events to go - but none now until the 2 in January and then the final one at the end of February so a nice long rest time in-between for me!Time to write those cards that I have made (and bought!! LOL) and maybe now I'll be able to get back into making messy.
Have done only a few fussy/fancy Christmas cards to date - concentrated on CAS this year mainly because of time.
Quite liked how this one turned out even though it was a bit fiddly!
I don't have separate star dies - this is one that has the 3 stars on it so it took a bit of working out about the positioning but got there in the end.
The gold glitter card behind is really subtle and gives a lovely muted sparkle which the pic doesn't really show.
I used a gold gel pen for the strings and stamped the sentiment in gold mettallic ink.
Job done.

I had a full length dress - why do long dresses always come in lengths only for 6' tall women!
I ended up having to buy shoes with MASSIVE heels so it didn't trail the floor - thankfully I managed not to fall off them when presenting the trophies!
Kept them on too for almost 6 hours!!!

Stylish design, not simple but CAS looking and elegant. I'm trying to be cost efficient this year, I still have lots of light weight cards to make. Cool shoes, would never be able to walk in them myself, so great job on that too:)

Its a fantastic card Viv, its a super die cut for a CAS card.
I loved your beautiful evening dress and the shoes, but I think I would have had to shorten the dress and go for a lower heeled shoe.

I'm vertically challenged as well Viv and always end up having to have inches chopped off the bottom. But you look every bit the part and hope you didn't have to walk too far in those shoes. A very elegant card.

Ooooh Viv, this card is gorgeous with the stars and glitter card background, and I might just have to CASE it as I have some nested stars which I don't think I have ever got around to using...how awful. I'm so pleased your presentation dinner and speech went well, and you looked fabulous in that beautiful dress, and those ankle breaking high heels which I could never have lasted six minutes in that alone six hours...lol. x
