Well my blogging buddies, I have had a good week away doing my duty! I hope your week has been good too - and thank you to everyone who left comments on my last post.
As it's February the world is full of Valentines! You know me and the dear husband don't do Valentines (as it's his Birthday too) but I am carrying on making 'love' cards for the stash.
( I seem to be having a bit of a 'rounded corner' fest at the mo!!!)
The stamps are all from SU's 'Weather Together' set and the card was as always inspired by Pinterest.
Before anyone asks the border was done with a ruler and a pointy thing and is not a die!
Just a simple 'Love Shower ' stamped in Versafine Crimson red.
The brolly stamped then the canopy stamped, coloured with a promarker and popped up on foam pads for a bit of dimension.
It was after I'd done that, i realised I hadn't stamped the word! DOH.
So couldn't use the MISTI to stamp a couple of times for definition which is probably why it looks a little less sharp than it should do.
But overall it's not too bad!

I was happily looking at your pretty card . . . and then I read your accompanying words and you reminded me that I ALSO need to do some ironing. I'm not coming here any more! Fancy making me go and do my ironing on a Saturday morning when it's perfect crafting weather outside (i.e. raining). Hurrumph!
Hugs, Sarnie xxx
And very precisely done too. I love the hearts falling down the page and the brolly is perfect. Almoost doesn't need a sentiment on the front. You could always do a misti insert. Dull miserable and raining here today. I'm off to the craft room. !! Hugs Mrs A.
That umbrella would come in handy here today, pouring yet again, the gardens and paddocks are like puddings, oh for Spring (and another three tomorrow - going to be a tense household as one of the boys is a Spurs boy).
But I do love your card and the lovely fresh feel with the CAS design, many thanks for joining in at Allsorts challenge this week.

Oh how cute....it's raining hearts!
It's very romantic and loving your rounded corners too. I love my misti lookalike and could maybe restamp a few times before I'm happy lol.
Super card Viv, great brolly and a lovely design, fab idea with the pointy thing.
Thank you for joining our 'Spots/Stripes' challenge this week at Allsorts.

Its a really pretty card and design Viv and I loved the way you created your border. I had to smile when I read about the pointy thing and a ruler.

I adore the shower of hearts Viv and the really pretty spotted umbrella, and such a great anniversary card. The piercing all round the edge is a beautiful finishing touch too. x
Super cute!!! Thank you for joining us at Tic Tac Toe, good luck!!! Amy DT

A fantastic card !! Good luck with the MAWTT challenge Janice DT MAWTT http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com
Nice piercing job. It's so annoying when you forget to stamp the sentiment before mounting everything on foam, it happens to me too. It's a cute design with little hearts as raindrops, perfect for Valentine's Day.
Beautiful card x
Beautiful design!
