I am back in my craftie space! I have missed it sooo much these last months and it took ages for me to settle down to do anything - isn't it horrible when you have looked forward to something then when you actually have it within reach you can't seem to think of anything to do??
So I have been like that since Monday - (once I cleared all the dust off everything) - but today I finally made something -
with the help of Pinterest of course - better than nothing at all I think!
Had a bit of bother with the light taking the pic too.
I white embossed the flower (a small stamp from Altenew called You Make me Happy) onto watercolour card then coloured them with Distress Inks.
I used a pale blue water-soluble wax pastel for the background.
Finished it off with a teeny blob of Gold Liquid Pearls on the flower stamens.
Was a little disappointed with the sentiment - it was a small set from Kaisercraft and despite using Versafine ink and my Misti, it smudged a little.
But dear husband said it looked Ok so I resisted adding a new sentiment on another piece of card over the top of the smudged one.
It's been forever since I joined in with a challenge so am linking up to

Great to see you're back in blogland and crafty land. This is a very delicate and pretty card.
This is so very pretty and delicate Viv...I love the touch of liquid pearls on your pretty flowers. (mine have gone a bit thick). I can't see a smudge on the sentiment at all but I smile to myself as you sound like me ll over ...perfectionist. Welcome back to blogland...at least you have had a justifiable reason for absence...Me?...no note for the teacher I am afraid..lol...I've been in a corner with my spirit...lol!!!!!

I totally understand the dilemma of trying to think of something to do, after looking at Pinterest, then start to create...not one single idea when you're trying real hard not to 'copy'. Your watercoloring is just wonderful and these little flower blossoms are so delicate. Love the background, and to my eyes, your sentiment looks great. I expect only you see any smudges! It's a beautiful card. TFS & Happy weekend.
Pretty card and lovely Altenew stamp used.

Very pretty, Viv! Thanks for joining us at The Sisterhood of Craters Challenge. Marsha DT
This is extremely pretty and love the flowers stamped randomly over the background, and the added gold pearls on the stamens is a lovely touch. I hate having a long break from crafting as I also find that getting back into it takes a bit of time and the mojo has to be fired up again, but you would never know it as this card is a beauty. x
This looks so pretty and delicate Viv...gorgeous card! thanks for sharing with us over at 'The Flower Challenge' and we hope to see you again soon ;) Viv DT xx
Those little flowers are so sweet and beautifully arranged on your card, Viv. I sometimes have trouble with those little sentiments too - not so much smudging but the end letters looking fat. I find I have to stamp it several times on scrap paper to get it to behave. ;) Thanks for sharing your lovely card with us at The Flower Challenge.
