Our gallery at CAS Mix Up has some lovely entries this month and of course we're celebrating our 5th Birthday so some lovely prizes up for grabs - there is still time for you to enter or even have another go!
Bonnie chose 'Print Making from Die Cuts' for her Watercolour month - this technique gives pretty artsy backgrounds and if you're like me with no painting skills is perfect!
This flower die has not seen a lot of use and to be honest I don't know why cos it's really quite pretty!
I used hammered textured cardstock for the base card as it is almost the same colour as the watercolour card used for the print impression. (It's amazing how many different shades of white there are isn't it?!)
I added a few little drops of Liquid Pearls in the centre of the main flower.
Our guest designer Ros has come up with another card to inspire you too, so pop over to the challenge blog and check out all the DT's cards.
Hope you will come and join our Birthday celebration! x

LOVE those bright, electric blue blooms, Viv. They look like Bachelor Buttons to me. They made the most gorgeous prints for the background and now you have a field of them! :) I love the hammered texture of your card base and it really does match perfectly with your watercolour paper. Your card is gorgeous with the pretty shaped framing. xx
I LOVE this sweet flower die, Viv, and it's especially lovely in this shade of blue! Beautiful framing too and the hammered card stock makes a wonderful background! I'm glad you like this technique!
Such a beautiful card Viv, I love the technique that you've used and the frame finishes it perfectly.

Beautiful! I love the cornflower!
This is a pretty die cut Viv and your prints in the background look fab. Perfect colour choice too! xx
Oh this is so pretty Viv. Wonderful wispy effect on the background and yes there are tons of different colours of 'white'. I love the smoother watercolour card against the hammered card and I am loving this beautiful card x.
Love the blue flower colours Viv and you achieved a great result from the print making.

Your die cut printed background turned out beautifully, Viv. Love your cornflower blue color for your die cut cornflowers, my friend, Simply beautiful CAS card design. TFS Love and Hugs..Nancy
Another technique I should try Viv - this looks lovely, gives it a soft, ethereal look. I don't have any painting skills either...I always seem to end up with a mushy looking mess with watercolour backgrounds!
That's very pretty Viv. Xxx
Gorgeous card Viv, the blue is so pretty and love the framing... Congrats on 5 years of CAS Mix Up too, Robyn

So pretty! I love the die cut and the blue flowers.
Sorry Viv, I thought I had already commented on this but obviously not. These die cut flowers are beautiful and love that bright blue, and the background print looks great within that pretty shaped frame too. x
