Spring?

What a glorious day we are enjoying here today! Warm sunshine and blue skies and that blasted wind has finally eased a little!
The forecast says it mightn't be here long so I enjoyed a couple of hours outside!
Here's spring themed card!

I made it a couple of weeks ago as soon as I got the stamp from Crafty Individuals.

The stamp is called 'Counting Bluebells' (CI-572) and I thought it was really pretty!

It's a bigger stamp than I am used to - this card is 7 x 5 and the image as you can see takes up most of the front.  One of the good things though is that it doesn't need much else!

I started by using my Arteza water brush pens direct to the stamp, spritzing lightly with water before stamping then simply dragged the colour from the outline to colour the image.

Made a mask for the bluebells and did some second generation stamping with the music background stamp which is from Wow.

I thought it still looked a bit bare so got a small dots stencil and inked through it lightly with Lilac DI and then lightly inked the card edges.
No sentiment cos I don't know what I am going to use it for!
There's lots of bluebells currently flowering here in woods in the UK - I had a big clump in the garden of my old house underneath a tree and I loved to see them as it always made me feel that Spring had arrived.

Clever work with the pens for inking and colouring the bluebells, like the stamped detail in the background as well to give interest.

Hi Viv

A really beautiful card .. .. as you say nothing but the stamp needed .. .. but I do love the detail you have added to the background very much.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I promise the matches were definitely for the candles! LOL!!

Love the colors and design of the card. Just beautiful.

No after effects from the Covid shot. A small ache at the shot site is all.

Hugs,
Jim

These bluebells are beautiful, Viv! I love how you've done the background! Looks like it should be framed!

Making a mask for those bluebells must have been a labour of love, they are so detailed. Love the stamp and your soft background. I have been on a long walk today and went through a bluebell wood but unfortunately they weren't in flower yet. I do love them they are amazing when they carpet a woodland floor xx

A beautiful card Viv, I've been eyeing this image for a few weeks, but may lack of crafting time has made me think twice, but you're tempting me. Love the subtle background and clever masking, must have taken ages, but well worth it.
