Absent

I've scheduled this post as I wanted to share another make for the challenge at CAS Mix Up which is to use Alcohol Inks on Vellum. My other posts for the DT are here and here
Also sharing over at  MMM - Trees

My vellum sky was done using Watermelon, Orange Sunset and Citrus alcohol inks, mixed with a liberal helping of blending solution.
The trees were popped onto the base card and the vellum piece with 3d foam and it has quite a good dimension in real life.
The sentiment was inked in Memento Canteloupe which is not a bad match at all!

I will be absent from blogland for a while as I'm taking an enforced break from crafting. 😔
We have sold our house and are having to move into a rented property on 21st July as the purchase of our next home 🏠 will not be completed until September.

So the craft room has been finally all packed away 😢 - I am hoping to be able to do a little whilst in the rental as I will get withdrawal symptoms if I have to wait till September to get out the card and inky stuff!

We also are in the process of the sale of mum-in-law's flat and purchasing a new apartment for her so as you can imagine we are currently meeting ourselves coming back and I can honestly say it is now official - I HATE CARDBOARD BOXES!🎁
I will visit you all as soon as I am able to! x

Another fabulous card. You are obviously going to have a pretty busy time ahead but I do hope you can find time and space to some crafting, even if it is only a little bit to stave off withdrawal symptoms. All the best with everything, Take care.

We are neighbors in the gallery at Make My Monday so I wanted to drop by and say Hi Neighbor. Yes the sentiment color is the perfect match with your inks. All good wishes on your hiatus and especially on the double move.

Your warm sunset-y colors with that crisp white make my heart happy, Viv! It's a gorgeous design! I must have missed the bit about the move. I wish you all the best with everything the next three months with the move, finalizing your new place, another move, and settling your MIL! It will be chaos for sure, so it's good you have taken the blog off your plate for now. Don't forget to send your new address when you get a chance. Hugs, Dolly D.

Congrats on getting your new house and setting up the move to the rental. A LOT of work, my friend! I'm with you about cardboard boxes ... moving is NOT FUN! Hope all goes well with finding something for your MIL. You need to take a break after your move. Relax and put your feet up for a while, you deserve it!

Gorgeous vellum and AI sky, Viv! The colours are so beautiful. I do LOVE that tree die from PB. Take care. Love, Loll

Wow! Viv, wonerful to see Alcohol inks making a comback. I adore your sky, beautiful. A wonderful card. I wish you all the very best in your rental situation, forcing yourself not to craft is the most difficult emotion to get through. Hope to see you around in blogland, before September. Thanks for sharing with us at Make My Monday. Caz. DT

A new home, how existing! I don’t envy you the preparations though, moving is not like in the movies, nice and tidy while enjoying a glass of wine. Your card looks fantastic, so in love with the colors and the look of the inky sky.
