Unmotivated!

I broke my New Year resolution to myself last month by failing to enter the CAS Christmas challenge - it was the first month I have missed this year.

I am finding it very difficult to become motivated or interested in doing much, although things are starting to move a little on the house front although an actual move is unlikely to take place for a few weeks yet.

I was determined to make something for CAS Christmas and not miss another month but found myself staring vacantly at card and ink!
In the end I did a simple remake of a card I made a couple of years ago - altering the colours to comply with the challenge theme of Gray and Red.

Another thing about this house we're in is it is simply impossible to get a decent photo of ANYTHING!

Am disappointed because after stamping my foliage in Smokey Gray ink and my flower heads in Memento Rocket Red, I took out the Nuvo Gloss Drops and painstakingly applied tiny red drops to all the flower heads. - It simply does not show either gloss or dimension on the pic - but it looks OK in real life.

And as I am struggling to come up with anything at the mo, this is the best I can do and I'll just have to accept it!

The sentiment is one of my favourites at Christmas and is from Stampin' Up I thought about altering it to say 'May your season be blessed with a new house'!!

I apologise again for my sporadic (sometimes non existent) visits to you all -fingers crossed for something approaching normality soon!

Thanks for looking! x

I would never have known you were struggling from the looks of your card Viv, as I think it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It may be a re-make, but the gray and red colors look fabulous with this design! YAY for one more for the Christmas stash and good luck with the house situation...hope things change soon for you! And thanks for playing along with us at CAS Christmas!! Marcia (DT) :0)

Viv, this is one really pretty card, love the stamping of the flowers and foliage and a great idea to do the sentiment in the two colours. I expanded the photo and I can see the dimension on the heads Viv x.
Thinking of you and sending positive vibes and 'May your season be blessed with a new House....And quickly....x'

I think your feelings for this card might be influenced by how you feel about the house and the whole situation. With my objective eyes I can say that this card s really beautiful, love how you used the red and grey colors. And it’s better it’s a bad photo and good card irl than the opposite:)

I think your card is just lovely, such wonderful soft stamping that looks amazing in grey and the shiny red dots really make it pop. Please don't be so hard on yourself. We are all struggling to get good photos now the summer light has left us. Good luck with everything to do with the new house and your move and please don't worry if you haven't visited much, it really is OK xx

Your card is beautiful and I hope this is the start of your mojo returning. It seems to be a common trend at the moment that many crafters are looking for their mojo, which seems to have gone AWOL. xx

Sorry to hear you are still struggling with your proposed house move - it will all be fine eventually but stressful in the meantime. This is a nice sentiment and a bit different and your delicate stamping is lovely. How it looks for real is the important thing but this is so often difficult to show in photographs. Hope things get sorted very soon xx

Hi Viv! Well I think your card is lovely to say you are unmotivated, and I know that feeling well. I do hope things progress on the house front for you, it mus be so frustrating with a lot of your crafting stuff still packed away...it will be like Christmas when you eventually get to open it up. Truck on my friend as they say! xx

It's hard to be moving and things up in the air. I understand and hope your situation improves soon. You card is really pretty with the red flowers and gray leaves! I love how you did the sentiment with both inks! Chin up, my friend. Good days are coming!

Sorry to hear you're feeling a little funk, I too have been dealing with this. Your card is pretty though, and I do adore the gray and red. We'll just have to imagine the gloss and dimension!

It's so pretty. It's a challenge I want to enter but inspiration has left me for an entry!

I love the delicate stamping though I can understand your frustration with the nuvo drops not showing... It happens. I find my camera picks up things I can't even see and the things I want to show just don't. I do hope things improve for you... Fingers crossed. Have a good weekend
