CAS Mix Up Mid Month Reminder

We're halfway through our challenge at CAS Mix Up, which has the challenge of 'Emboss Resist', set by Nancy.

My stamp is an old one from Kaiserkraft.
It was one of those that I bought because I liked it - then hardly used!

The heat embossed stamp was inked with Distress Oxide.
I stamped again on a scrap of card and black heat embossed the centre butterfly before colouring and fussy cutting.

Popped up with a small foam pad for dimension.
Finished with a sentiment from SU.

I went a bit mad with the splatters - they were supposed to be a little less intense - but the Posca pen decided to spit out a few larger blobs!

Thanks for looking and I really hope you have found time to join us this month - there's a little time left if you haven't! x

That's always my trouble with splatters too, all or nothing. Love your emboss resist, such great colours and I think the splatters look perfect, just the right balance of big and small xx

I love this stamp and how you've embossed it and colored with the rainbow colors! A perfect place for this butterfly to perch!

I love the beautiful mix of colours you used Viv to expose the white embossing. A very pretty card design.

Beautiful collage style stamped and heat embossed image and emboss resist technique, Viv. Stamping just one butterfly in fly was a nice dramatic effect. I liked your splatters..even the larger splatters for interest and your stamped sentiment too. TFS my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy

Reckon this stamp deserved an outing and I like what you've done with it. Splatters can be a bit unpredictable but suppose that's the nature of the beasty really 😉😉. Hope you've survived the heatwave, cooler today thankfully

Love your soft blending of those inks Viv over that unusual stamp...I can see why you bought it...and now you may use it more often having seen your lovely result. Like how you have layered the darker butterfly, it really stands out. xx

Love your bright colours over the white embossing Viv. Makes a gorgeous background to show off that beautiful butterfly. The splattering looks fabulous ... that posca pen knew what it was doing. :) xx
