After a little trawl round Pinterest (spend more time on there than actually making!) I had a not particularly successful play with my Brushos and a stamp which is NBUS!
After the weather we have had in the last couple of days (with yet another grey wet and windy day here)and the dreadful storms and floods others are experiencing across the pond I thought this Katzelkraft stamp was very apt!
I am not very good with Brushos. I have now been practicing with them for what seems like EVER and never seem to improve. My bin is full of discarded soggy pieces of paper!
This share is one of the more passable attempts - so you can imagine what the discarded bits look like 🙈🙈 - but at least I tried! If only it looked as good as the one I originally saw and tried to emulate!
All that said I DO love this stamp as it just strikes a chord with me.
Whilst out of it's packaging I stamped a couple more images and will make CAS cards with them I think - cos the Brushos are back in the drawer until I feel like inflicting some form of torture on myself again!
This card is now in an envelope ready to be sent to a friend who is currently having all that is horrible about life thrown at her - Thanks for looking today - I hope you're warm, dry and safe wherever you are in blogland. x

I'm sure your friend will appreciate this very apt card. Brushos can certainly be unpredictable but I think the effect here gives a brilliant feeling of the stormy, grey weather which seems to have become the norm just recently. Roll on Spring I say 😀. Very grey and wet here today too.
Brilliant card Viv and your brusho background is perfect... my nightmare weather is wind and rain...great image

You are so hard on yourself Viv. This card is gorgeous. I have some Brushos and only used once or twice out in the garden on a summers day I might add as the resulting mess was a result to behold. Wouldn't trust myself to use them indoors. The thought just gives me the vapours! Hugs Mrs A.
This background looks like a blustery day and the image shows it so well. I hope your friend gets through her bad time and she will appreciate you thinking of and uplifting her.
Beautiful card Viv and love the fabulous stamp-the background actually helps with the impression of movement. Have you tried wetting the paper first then light sprinkling?

In spite of the woes you had with the Brushos, Vivalicious, you ended up making the most PERFIK background for this windblown young lass and her inside-out brolly! I thinks it's amazing and your friend will feel like you really get what she's going through. Well done and thank you for the inspiration. I have that stamp and am pinning this! Happy New Year Hugs, Dolly (will email soon)
p.s. Would love to have you link up your card to the NBUS gallery! Mwah!
I think the background is very effective- and perfect with that fabulous stamp! Thank you for playing along at Sweet Stampin'

We all feel like this sometimes and I'm with you on the Brushos! This background totally works with this stamp though! It's bound to bring a smile to your friend.
Love the final result. Your Brusho background looks fabulous. You are too hard on yourself! Thanks for sharing it with us at Sweet Stampin' Challenge
Your background goes perfectly with this image Viv and I'm sure your friend will love this card.

Your brushos definitely depict a stormy winter's day. Perfect with the image and also perfect for the sentiment to send support to your friend. xx

Love that stamp and your brusho background really sums up the feeling when you are battered by wind and rain. I think it is perfect. You have made me want to get my brushos out, it is a while since they have seen the light of day xx
I also love that stamp, it seems so British with the wind and the rain beating at you in the winter :) Your brusho background is great- perfect for the stamp ♥
Such a wonderful card! I'm sure it will be very appreciated by your friend, the image is lovely as are those Brushos 😊. Thanks so much for joining in the fun over at Try it on Tuesday! Hugs Jo x
Certainly an appropriate card for the weather we’ve been experiencing Viv. I LOVE that stamp (it’s in my collection) and the card you’ve made with it.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
I just love that stamp, it’s certainly been very appropriate this month. I have a love hate relationship with brushos as well, but find the rejected bits can work well with diecuts, picking out the better bits!
I lovethis stamp too and your Brusho background looks great. I find that Brushs do seem to do their own thing. Thanks for joining us at Try It On Tuesday, Chrisx
I think your Brusho background is great and really has the feel of a windy day Viv, and love that fun Katzelkraft lady fighting the wind and her umbrella. x
