An old stamp

Decided I am going to have a clear out in the New Year. I have so much stuff that I am simply never going to use. I have enough paper to fill a craft shop and so many stamps which were bought with no purpose other than I liked them and they've never seen ink.
I know this is 'Crafter's Curse'  'cos every crafter I know does it but I really am intending to sort it out. I don't hold on to old clothes that I no longer wear so why am I storing all this lot???

So, now that I have said that - here's an old (VERY OLD)  stamp.
Seen ink once before.
Wood backed, a big stamp and don't know why I bought it and don't want to keep it!
But for old times sake I have used it - as I saw a card made with it using alco inks and I remembered I had it.... (not for long)

Ivory linen textured card.
Stamped and embossed with gold. Watercoloured then cut out the individual tiles.
Ran an embossing pen round the edges of the panel then gold embossed.
Mounted the tiles using foam pads for dimension and then mounted the panel.

Stamp is called Paris Moments by Hampton Arts and is now consigned to the 'Dispose Of' pile which is growing rather alarmingly....

No sentiment on this one - just one for the 'Just In Case' box where I go to when I need a card in a hurry!

Thanks for looking! Will be back again over the weekend - New Years Eve is not a celebration for me just a time for remembering Mum on her birthday - and consoling myself making inky and messy in the craft room!
If this is your last visit to me before 2017 then I wish you a very happy New Year! x

Love the pink colour colour and the gold embossing, it is good though when a stamp fills a page and you don't have to worry about embellishments and it is also nice to leave off a sentiment on some cards especially if they will be useful for a few occasions.
I won't be the first and won't be the last to totally agree with all that you have said regarding crafty stuff, I have made a little bit if a start and some more to do and my New Years resolution is NOT to buy anything else Christmas related, I can't promise about other parts of the year but I have had loads of new Christmas stamps and dies for Christmas so I have more than enough for next year and even more years than that.
Happy New Year Viv.

Viv this is a beautiful card and could be used for so many occasions.
I wish I had the resolve to throw and discard loads of old craft stuff.
Happy New Year wishes to you both.

I love this card, I have seen this before love the idea. Looks like inchies cards. Beautiful colours, maybe before you chear it out stamp a few times to use later, would look fantastic on black wit gold embossing or on vellum with gold or silver or white embossing. Its so hard to part with stamps but they do end up filling your room as theres so much released these days.

I do remember this stamp although I never owned it. You have made a lovely card with it, the gold embossing really stands out. I should clear out some stamps but never know what to do with them and they end up back in the boxes !

Hi Viv! It's good to be back! Thanks so much for your comment and I just love your card! I have many of those "why did I buy this?" goodies around but you made this one work in a splendid way! Happy New Year!

Yep - we've all got stuff we LOVED at the time we bought it, and HAD TO HAVE IT, and then somehow never used it! Been there, done that . . . even got the T-Shirt.

I think you've done a lovely job with this card though. Looks great.

Even though you are not celebrating New Year, I still wish you a wonderful 2017 mate.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

This is a useful stamp and has made a very pretty card Viv. I think that the squares could be cut and used in a group, or two or three together in a line. Are you sure you want to dispose of it. No seriously I have been having a bit of a turn out, especially of paper which to be honest I rarely use. I am not so good about disposing of stamps that I no longer use, but I am thinking that those stamps that I have been frustrated with due to their poor stamping may be better now I have a MISTI, but this doesn't help with the clearing out process..lol. x
