I promised myself that I would try and enter the CAS Mix Up Challenge as often as I could when time allowed. The challenge was Stamping, Liquid Colours and your choice.
This card has been lying finished for over a week and am just getting round to posting - but better late than never and thankfully am still well in time as the challenge doesn't end for a while!
I wish I wasn't so messy!! It's not like I don't have tons of desk space because I do - but I am just too lazy to move anything so consequently when I start spraying not only does the piece I am working on receive the spray but everything in the near vicinity gets a dose too.
I made the panel first (my choice - acrylic block with Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed) on a left over piece of watercolour paper, then stamped the flower in white and heat embossed. Stamped again in gold and heat embossed again.
Some gold cosmic shimmer spray splattered and sprayed (did manage to get SOME on the card!).
Finished with a snippet of vellum, heat embossed with the sentiment.
Am also popping over to the Playground with my snippets make.
Other Challenges -
ATS & M - Photo Inspiration here
( I loved the rainbow colours of the flower - opted to use the lemon and orange shade from the petals for this make)
The Crafty Addicts - Monochromatic
Glitter n Sparkle - Use gold
Have a great day whatever you're doing! x

This really is a beautiful card Viv!
I do just the same with sprays. Last year I managed to cover my specs in orange platters. Barbxx
Lovely card Viv...I like all your techniques that you have used...brilliant!
Gorgeous Viv!! LOVE the background panel with the two colours of embossing. So creative!! And love the splattered gold. I'm with you about that being messy ... my splatters end up all over my table, what ever else is lying around, and my walls and floor! :) But it's so worth it ... this card is stunning! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

This is a lovely effect with the spraying and I do like the use of the vellum for the sentiment. hugs Mrs A.

Its a beautiful card Viv, I agree about the sprays. I made a box and it still goes where it shouldn't.

There are so many challenges and not enough time. Wonderful warm colours on your lovely card, it's beautiful. I confess to being very messy too, I often find I'm inking on top of a half finished project!
This is a beautiful piece of work Viv and I love the colour combination with the gold embossing and the flowers are very pretty. I love the spattering on the base card too, and the finishing touch with the sentiment on vellum suits it perfectly. x
What a vibrant card Viv! I love your blended background colours and the gold embossing really pops out from the white flowers and background. Love the gold splatters too!
Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM and I hope you will join us again soon.

I really like the colors here, so vibrant and classy with the touches of gold. Love the splatter too. I'm a bit lazy too, and I like having lots of stuff around me, but I keep a plastic bag, put my card in it and spray so all the spray goes into the plastic bag rather than on everything around me. And no tidying required:)
That liquid gold splatter looks so cool on this - wonderful embossings of your beautiful bloom and the vellum strip is perfect for your embossed sentiment - thanks for joining us in the CAS Mix Up challenge this month! Julia xx
Gorgeous card! Love the touches of sparkle and gold. Thank you for joining us at ATSM. All the best. Nandini, DT
