I think many areas of the UK have been having really high temperatures the last couple of days - I am wondering where the person who used to be able to sit out and toast herself all day has disappeared to! I am afraid that me and hot don't seem to mix anymore! So when it has got too hot for me I have retreated to the craftie space and turned on the fan.

This is another make using the lovely Face profile stencil from Funky Fossil.

This time  I heat embossed it in white and then created an inky background using Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers DI's.

Some random stamping using various odd stamps in the same shades and a triple die cut in white to complete the sentiment.

I have been devoid of inspiration recently - I don't suppose the ongoing situation is helping. We are in an area that has had further restrictions imposed so we can't even pretend that things are becoming normal! I am still struggling wearing a face mask on the very rare occasions when I do venture into a shop and am finding it very difficult to accept that wearing for the forseeable future is the new norm. (I know it's better than the alternative but it doesn't make it any easier!)

I hope everyone is safe and well out in blogland and thanks for visiting today. x

This is beautiful Viv, great colours and I love the interest you have added to the background with those stamps. Lovely contrast with the white. I agree with you about the heat, I am really struggling and it has been so dry here that I fear the whole garden will be dead soon! I have ventured out to the hairdressers today and got myself a new look. I was a bit anxious about it as we are completely risk averse in my household, but it was fine we both wore masks and she wore a visor as well. Apart from the masks it almost felt normal!

Lovely and ethereal . Colours are very calming. Got some health issues going on at moment , nothing serious, just one of them is going to cost me a lot of money to put right. Managing to find cool spots in the shade to sit out in as I disLike being indoors when ;the weather is nice.
Managing the face mask just can’t stomach going out and mixing with others who are not bothering with one.i had to go into town last week for my first hair do since March.feel moderately like a new women but I was a bag of nerves ( having to weave and dodge in between people not observing social distancing or with their face masks dangling from their fingers or strung round their neck ) by the time I had walked the length of the pedestrian high street from the car park to the salon. No the new norm is not for me. Hugs A. P.s. neither is the new blogger.!,

That stencil and the white heat embossing is so striking Viv. What a fabulous card x. You do right and stay in from the heat and put the fan on and craft x. We are pretty much staying close to home too x.

I just adore this gorgeous lady from FF and she looks great white embossed and with the soft bits of stamping in the background which finishes it beautifully, and the triple layer die cut sentiment looks great. x

The embossing is beautiful. A lovely card.

I can't stand the heat either. We have so much humidity too. Wearing the mask makes me feel like I can't get a deep breath of air. But I still wear it. I wish everyone would abide. [Bunny]

Our eldest (you know where he resides) said the other day that normal may never return and I rather fear he's right.

Lovely ethereal creation.

Those masks are so hot and uncomfortable, but so necessary! The hot weather doesn't make it any easier either. Love that face embossed in white with the cool colors inked around it! The bits of stamping add extra interest! A good way to keep cool!

Your card is lovely and the stencil is wonderful, plus that oh so fun inky background.
As for normal? I'm guessing most people aren't seeing normal either, I believe this is it to some degree

Why oh why don't we get temperatures that are bearable? It's either too flippin' hot or too wet or too cold. I guess I shouldn't complain but I was melting these past few days (if only body fat melted). Anyways, on to your card which is fabulous by the way. Superb background for your image. Enjoy the weekend!

A beautiful card Viv, what a lovely stencil too. Love the background.
Had a little catch up - and I love the 'bubbles & chicks set' I don't think I could have resisted either.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Viv

BEAUTIFUL card with that lovely Funky Fossil image.

Sorry to hear you've had further restrictions imposed and are struggling with the "new normal".

That is one beautiful stencil and face. Good idea to go with white and add color to the background. Fresh design!
I can take heat when it’s holiday always, with beaches and air conditioning inside. Back home I prefer the low twenties (Celsius).
Glad to see you join in at Inkspirational with your card.
