Today's share uses one of my all time fave dies which I bought a long time ago!
It's not cutting as good as it used to - probably worn out.... 😧
Simple card to do and I like how it turned out.
Stitched die cut square from an odd leftover, lightly dusted with green and pink ink.
I watercoloured the poppy cut from another odd bit and used some foam pads to pop it up off the front.
The card sent to a close friend who had a birthday shortly after a devastating bereavement - after so much sadness wishing her a 'Happy' Birthday didn't seem right.
Weather has turned cloudier and cooler here and we even had rain yesterday -it's not often we go a while without rain so it was a bit of a novelty - anyway it did the plants good and Himself was pleased as he had put some weedkiller on the lawn and he didn't have to water it in!

I see why you love this die, it is great. Your watercoloring is so pretty and soft shading really brings out the flowers. Just lovely.
What a very pretty and thoughtful card for your friend - I agree there are times when it does seem insensitive to send 'happy' messages but you still need to send cards to mark an occasion. This is just right.
The ivory linen card stock has added wonderful texture to the light dusting of ink and the die cut poppies look so pretty. A thoughtful card for your close friend and I am so sorry for her loss Viv x.
Such a beautiful card Viv, I can see why you love this die.

Ah this is super and just right for your friend. Im sure I read somewhere that running your die though the machine with kitchen foil will sharpen it up again. Its freezing here again too, heating is back on!! Hazelxx
Beautiful card, I love the watercolour effect on the flowers.

Lucky you getting some rain, our garden is parched and I'm wary of watering because we have still had frost a few nights

Such a sweet card, Viv! Love the soft colors and how you lightly colored the background of the die-cut square. Thank you for sharing your talents and card with us at Double Trouble for our "flowers" challenge!!! -Donna

We had rain too but only after The doc had washed and dried the car and watered the garden and all the pots that had begun to dry ou!! He has gone into town today for his must have hair cut. I have lots of linen stock in pads of colours and you have reminded me that they have been sorely negleted. Super card. Hugs Mrs a.
I see why this is a favorite die, Viv! It's so delicate and pretty and you've colored it beautifully! Love the linen background too!
Very pretty Viv...super colouring...super card. xx
What a perfect card for a special friend, love it's simplicity. Never thought I would say this but I am jealous of your rain! We haven't had any proper rain for 2 months. The garden is absolutely desperate. The current batch seems to have completely missed us xx

Hi Viv
Loving your card. I can see why that die would be a favourite. Nice areas for adding dimension pads to!
Hope all is going well at your end.

The weather is really cold here even though the sun is shining... Your card is a joy and I'm sure your friend appreciated it...
How pretty your florals are against the textured background. CAS and very pretty. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble.
And a beautiful die makes a beautiful card!
I can see why this is one of your favourite dies, Viv! This is so pretty (great title for your blog post), and love the soft colours. A perfect birthday card for someone who has just suffered a great loss. I'm sure this card will touch her heart. xx
Pretty card Viv! I have that die and always find it incredibly fiddly to use, so it doesn’t get used very often.
What a lovely card Viv - and I so love how you used the die. I never think to use my one that's the same, bad me. Spellbinders Poppy Patch - and still available I see.
Hugs

that is so beautiful and perfect for the occasion. Loving the watercoloured die cut x
Simply beautiful!
I love the soft look of the die cut poppies Viv and the little ink dusting in the background, also the ivory card goes beautifully. So sad to have a birthday shortly after losing a loved one and your card hits exactly the right note. x
