Mid Month at CAS Mix Up and FINALLY!!!!

Our CAS Mix Up January challenge of 'Loose Watercolour' is half way through and you have until 24th of the month to join us.

There's already some lovely cards in our gallery and we love to see your creations!

I did a bit of accent stamping to highlight the lovely big flower which is from Altenew. It's one from their layered sets and I just used the outline stamp.

Stamped it in a pigment ink in a dark pink shade and then once dry watercoloured.

Hope you can join us this month - the DT and our Guest designer Karen (Random Reflections)
have lots to inspire you!

My lovely blog visitors will know what a terrible trial we have had since selling our home last May and then moving into a tiny (and very cold) rented property supposedly for a few weeks.
Almost 7 months on we finally exchanged contracts on our new home on 11th of this month, we get our hands on the keys on the 19th and our removal firm are booked for 21st.
I cried with relief when we finally exchanged contracts, it has been a long hard few months, fraught with worry wondering if it was going to happen at all.

I have several more grey hairs than I did 6 months ago! Anyway, onward and upward for us now.
The new place doesn't need anything doing in terms of decorating but we do have to buy new furniture so that will be exciting and more importantly I am looking forward to a brand new craft space! (The only downside is no internet until mid February!)
To those of you who have sent me message of support and put up with me generally moaning and being miserable for what probably seems like an eternity, (you know who you are), I thank you and am eternally grateful for my blogland buddies.
I will be back as soon as I am able. x

Sorry for the second comment. I meant to congratulate you on your long awaited move to your new home. Sounds like it has been a real trial but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

OMG Viv..So very happy and excited for you and your hubby to finally being able to move into your new home soon:-) We are hoping to put our home and property up for sale in the Spring/Summer of 2024 and then we will look for a smaller home with just a yard. We plan to camp out in an RV park while looking for a new home and store our "Stuff" in a couple of storage units. Then I will be the one moaning...lol! I am sure you will be able to understand if I get a bit cranky:-) BTW I loved how your loosely watercolored flower turned out, your colors and stamping. TFS my friend and again...Congratulations:-) Love and Hugs...

This card is simple and wonderful. The background stamping looks great and highlights the soft flower. I am so happy for you getting your keys and ready to go. I hope the move goes well and your internet comes sooner than you expected. Getting new furniture is a bonus and a new craft room is so exciting. I hope you'll share with us when you have internet.

That is good news, Viv, congrats on your new home!
I like how the single flower doesn't feel out of place or floating, with the help of that honeycomb and circle stamping. Lovely effect.

Such a gorgeous card Viv and even better is the news that you have finally exchanged contracts and you can look forward to life in your new home. My daughter who is now 38 was not conceived when we put our small flat on the market to move. We sold straight away but because of a hitch in the chain further up the line I had given birth and she was a month old when we finally moved, it took us nearly 12 months altogether so I feel your stress and am so glad it will soon be over.

Sorry to be so late, Viv. Your card is, as always, stunning! I hope today goes well and also the 21st so this can all be behind you! Please send me your new address! (I'll email you, too, in case you don't see this online.)

I also want to thank you for your Christmas card which just arrived last night!! Can you believe it. The postmark is November 25th!! That's the worse so far this year. Last week I got a few cards from the UK mailed on December 14, but NOVEMBER? Ridic! Better late than never and it's a real beauty. Hammy and I are loving all the schparkle!

See you back here when you settle in. I'm so pickled tink for you at long last! Lots of love, Darnell

I've been having a good look on your blog Viv - my commenting has been nothing short of rubbish this year. Too little time unfortunately. This one really stood out - what a stunner! Love how you've watercolored that Altenew bloom - it looks like I could pick it right off the card!
