Spray

We've had some lovely weather recently and it has given me a chance to start re-designing the new home's garden to make it our own so I have been absent from the craft desk for quite a while.

As my back is insisting I have a day off from digging (and it's a bit cloudy!) I have a share for you today.

I love the Delicate Florals set from Penny Black and teamed it here with some background stamping and stencilling.

I brushed the background first with DI's in shades of yellow, overstamped randomly with an old script stamp before sponging through the diamond stencil.

I used my Arteza waterbrush pens direct to the stamp then dragged out the colour with a wet brush after stamping.

Finished with a few tiny gold liquid pearl dots.

When I packed up to move I found the rounded corner punch (covered in cobwebs as it had fallen down the back of a cupboard!) so thought I would see if it still worked. I quite like the soft rounded edges so have put it where I can find it!

This is a lovely stamp and you've made a super card using it - great to see the rounded corners, something we used to do a lot when punches were the 'in thing'. Don't work too hard in the garden but it must be fun making it your own.

Hi Viv... you did a great job with the watercolour... The card is gorgeous. The sun has left us here and it's turned cold...sigh. Thank you for your visit to my blog and yes it is Walton hospital... What a place, it's like a city on it' own! Not that near to me but I have no choice, it's the specialist place for my problem. Have a great day!

This is so bright and sunny Viv and I love the PB stamp you have used and a beautiful card using the script and geometric stencilling. I laughed at the bit about finding your corner rounder behind a cupboard when you moved, and you have put it to excellent use here. I recently decided to clean my stamp positioner and being lazy didn't move the magnets and did a rather large sweep with the cloth and they flew off..still haven't found one of them which I will probably eventually find clinging limpet like to something in the most unexpected place..lol. x

What a pretty tonal card Viv, with lovely colouring, stencilling and stamping x. I enjoy doing the garden too but know exactly what you mean about a bad back/knees etc after working in it x. Loving the rounded edges too Viv x.

Lovely card Viv, love that stamp and the colours you have used. I've just been using my corner rounder again after I saw it in one of my trying to reorganise frenzies ! My garden was so wet for ages now it's really dry, had to actually water pots and tubs last night, strange weather we're having.

A lovely, soft background for those Delicate Florals. A great design! It's nice to be able to design your garden the way you want it but it is backbreaking work.
