Back home after a little break with some friends and on our little jaunts out it was really apparent that here in the UK Autumn has arrived. Doesn't seem that long ago when I was greeting the spring daffodils!
Another card inspired by the photograph taken on the recent walk (see photo here) and back to CAS this time - although I have been going a little mad with inky backgrounds just recently, more of which will be shared in due course!A simple watercoloured background (the pale blue sky hasn't shown up too well 😔) fading to a grey horizon and then the straw coloured wheat and wild poppy field.
The sentiment I have decided is definitely one which will be used often - as it is so true.

Some time ago we were lucky to see a huge sculpture by Luke Jerram of the Earth, this week we saw another of his amazing works currently on show at Lichfield Cathedral - the Moon!
They are enormous, detailed and very accurate, (although obviously not to scale!). But just like the Floating Earth, his Moon sculpture is taken from actual images supplied by NASA so all the craters etc are actually what the surface is really like and in the exact places.
It makes you realise how small you are! Fabulous! Live in the Moment indeed.

Your little watercolor scene looks very realistic and it's beautifully done, Viv.
Yes that is a great sentiment and a beautiful scene on the CAS card. The sculptures are amazing, thanks for sharing the pics.
Such a beautiful card Viv. A fantastic photo of the moon, it looks so strange seeing with a backdrop of architecture but still very beautiful.

A very classy and unusual card Viv, I like the offset frame. yes Autumn is here now officially and the trees are lovely colours...the best bit before the dreaded winter. Roll on Spring! We saw this moon sculpture a fw years ago in Wakefield...it was awe inspiring and you could walk right under it, such clever work. xx

WOW Viv your card is so beautiful, fantastic art. I love the design and your watercoloured background.
This is such a pretty little scene Viv, beautifully done and the added poppy seed heads work brilliantly as a foreground image. Funnily enough we visited Lichfield cathedral a week before this moon sculpture arrived, be we had it here in Taunton about a year ago and it is certainly impressive. I love your photo of the earth sculpture sitting in the lake and looks like a view of earth as it would look from space, so very appropriate. x
