Lovely Lilac!

Purple shades are not colours which I tend to use a lot, so if anyone asks me why I used Lilac on this card I would honestly answer that I simply don't know!!

The main challenge over at CAS Mix Up is to 'Make a Stencil from a Die Cut' .
This die used to be one of my 'go to' ones but it has been neglected recently.

I spent a little while agonising over the use of the pearls and am still not sure if their addition was needed or not but what's done is done!

So the elements of my card to comply with the CAS Mix up requirements are
Stencil from a Die Cut, Stamping, Die Cutting (the frame) and heat embossing (the sentiment and the spotty border are clear embossed).

I am off for a few days with friends and a trip to see the Tutankhamun 'Treasures of the Golden Pharoah' Exhibition. Although there is no Death Mask (already back in Egypt), this will be the last chance to see the rest of the artefacts before they go to their permanent home in Cairo.
This exhibition is celebrating the Centenary of the discovery of the tomb and I am really looking forward to it!

Thanks for calling to see me today - hope everything is well with you in your part of blogland. Hugs from me. x

That die is a favourite of mine when I see it used although I don't own it ... yet!! You've combined all the elements of the challenge really well and I reckon this would work either with or without the pearls. The lilac shades work well too even if you've no idea why they were used.

The lilac colour is gorgeous and I love that die, haven't used it enough, like the dotty border too. This year I am trying to use more different colours, see how long that lasts!

I think the lilac tones are so pretty Viv and suggest Spring is on the way!...here's hoping x. So creative to use the actually die cut and the stencil of it. Great design and one really beautiful card with or without the pretty pearls x. Enjoy the exciting exhibition x.

Clever to use a die cut as a stencil. I also like that you’ve added a true die cut version as well, gives your design dimension. Purple is one of my all time favorite colors, but come to think of it, I don’t use it often on cards....

This card is dreamy and so beautiful. I never know how to use this die-cut, but this is devine. Love the monochromatic theme to this card, it just adds to the softness and beauty. The pearls are PERFECT.
Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up!

Just lovely...so delicate I love the stencil portion and the layered floral panel is so pretty. The sentiment adds just the right amount of wording. Your card makes me feel very relaxed and peaceful.
