Live Simply

Almost a week since my last post 😱!  And it's not as if I have been mad busy is it??
I have though been enjoying some time outdoors with the weather being so good. The local garden centre delivered my order mid week so I have managed to tidy up some of the pots - although I ran out of compost so am now waiting another delivery!

I had stamped and embossed some stamps so armed with them and my watercolours I went outside yesterday, - it was such a beautiful day.  I sat under the parasol listening to nothing but birdsong and painted.
It was soooo peaceful.

Today I set about turning what I had painted into cards.

The focal stamp is from Penny Black Berries Delight set.
I masked it off then gave it a brick background.
The sentiment just appealed to me!

The weather is set to turn cooler and more unsettled  this week so maybe I will spend more time in the craft room and not idling outside!

Whatever you're doing and wherever you are, I hope that you are secure, safe and well. Thanks for stopping by. xx.

Gorgeous Viv, I love your stencilled brick background as the frame for your vase of flowers :)

How lovely that you are getting things done in the garden (so satisfying) and you have time to sit in it a paint too, so there are some benefits to this lockdown. Lovely card, I like how you have done the background and left the white space around the flowers, really effective xx

Beautiful card Viv....great watercolouring! I have been a bad blogger of late but have been busy this past weekend in the craftroom though when the sun shines it is out to the patio with a book. xx

Lovely card Viv, so nice that you're able to do some colouring outside, enjoying the nice weather... it's beautiful here too and I've been working in the garden myself, mind you my legs and feet are feeling the after affects. It's pretty windy too and with my craft room windows open I'm having trouble with bits blowing off the desk and not being able to have the finished card sit still while I take a photo... never mind, I'll manage just like we all are with this pandemic.. hugs Robyn

Very classy. Our garden centre is also doing deliveries and say they are run off their feet although it's not as lucrative as having customers visit.

This is just so beautiful and I love the CAS style of the card. I don't know this image, never even thought it was a PB when I clicked through.

Well it was definitely worth waiting for Viv, a very prettily watercoloured image from PB and love the bit of brickwork in the background, and the double layer of stitched mats set it off perfectly. x
