How quickly time goes past - we're halfway through 2024! It's difficult to believe - don't know where the weeks go to!
Anyway, as it's Tuesday our challenge for the next two weeks at Try It On Tuesday is called 'Here comes Summer'.
But nothing reminds me more of Summer than when I see a Beach Hut! There's something about them that conjure up visions of lazy days and I do have a memory of spending time in a beach hut on a summer holiday when I was a child.
That's probably why many years ago I bought this stamp. I have no idea who made it - it came in a set of 2 I think - the other is just a smaller beach hut with it's door closed.
Stamped, then masked and blended the background. I coloured the image with watercolour pencils.
The Inkylicious shoreline stamp was white heat embossed and the sentiment is from Card-io.

I too have memories of staying in a small beach hut as a child and this stamp just sums it up - such a tiny living space but such fun at the time. Love this card as it's brought back memories 😊

I really admire beach huts. We don't have them here in the states. I've always wanted to be able to sit in one. Love your interpretation with the children. Summer IS for children, I believe. Beautiful coloring and card.

I love these stamps from Inkylicious Viv and this card has that dreamy quality to go with the sentiment, and the starfish stamped on that wonderful yellowy brown sand are great, and your last post with a card using the same stamps for the water lapping on the beach has a lighter brighter look, with those cute little ladies sitting in the beach hut and the bright yellow sand and sun..a really pleasing summer scene. x
