Sunshine

Whilst visiting blogland, I am noticing that there are some struggling with the enforced lockdown - having your normal day to day activities curtailed (albeit necessarily), is difficult to come to terms with  -  but it just makes you thankful that this is only temporary. We may be in the same situation for a while yet but I keep reminding myself that it IS only temporary and I am lucky to be safe and sound.
Not for the first time in the last few weeks I have been glad that I no longer have to don a uniform and enforce laws and have to put up with idiots who simply don't know the meaning of the words 'STAY HOME' -  (and thankfully I am now too old to volunteer to go back!).
I have divided my time between being in the craft space and our little outside space.
I have set myself one small task a day outside whilst the weather has been nice - just one - as there is not much to do and if I did it all in one go I would then be bored! Today it is to re-pot a Rhododendron which is struggling now in it's too small container - so that's where I will be headed after today's share.

Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade on watercolour card and liberally spritzed with water.
When dry ran through a sun ray embossing folder.

The gerbera is from Uniko, stamped and clear embossed, watercoloured and fussy cut.
I am not normally one for 'uplifting' sentiments but this one touched a chord with me when I hear about how many people worldwide are affected by this dreadful pandemic.

So sharing a little bit of Sunshine with my visitors and I am glad that you came to see me today.

Lovely gerbera card Viv and love your sunshine background... I’m getting used to being in lock down now like you doing different things everyday and of course there’s a jigsaw in the go so we do 1/2hr here and there. Just hoping everyone remembers what we’re being told stay at home....bet your life they’ll be idiots out and about in this glorious weather

You always have such good ideas for your cards. This is stunning and beautiful. Like you am dividing my time with( doing little jobs in the garden and then the evenings in my craft room. Today’s garden job has been to finnish cleaning out a water barrel, feature that I have by the back door. Have emptied and washed the gravel and put back in with all the water 🐌 . Just waiting for the barrel to refill from hose and that’s another job well done. Found three packets of seeeds that I had forgotten I had bought last autumn. They can be planted now so that’s is another job can be done. Larkspur, Californian poppy and cornflower. Stay safe. Hugs Mrs

A really lovely sunny card and clever use of embossing folder with the die cut flower and the sunny colour is perfect. You would think that two words 'stay home' would be simple enough for even the simplest of minds wouldn't you, and as you so rightly say it is only temporary. Think positive is the way to go as always.

Such an uplifting card, my friend! Love all that bright sunshine with the sweet Gerbera! I try to remember that I can do lots more than I can't do. For that I'm thankful. This too will pass.

WOW . . . That's a stunner Viv. So sunny and pretty. I love it.

Like you, am dismayed at those who seem to think the safety rules don't apply to them.

Happy Easter,

Wonderful colours on this embossed sun ray background, and the gerbera flower looks great just softly coloured. Very pretty Viv. x
