Paint, Carpet and Ink

This week we have done a little bit of decorating in the room where we spend most of our time - the craft/music/online gaming room. (The latter 2 are not me by the way!)
I am a messy crafter. Over the years since we have been here I have dropped ink pads (always the pad side down) onto the carpet tiles, splattered odd bits of Brusho here and there, managed to get glue everywhere - you get the picture.
I am now sat in the freshly painted room with some nice new flooring and the comment 'Let's see how long it takes for you to make a mess'...... 😳😳
So not being apprehensive at all I got out the ink......................

A linen textured card base called for a linen textured panel. After inking, I took 2 stencils inking with 2 more different shades of green.
Stamped and clear embossed the leafy branch and watercoloured.
A few drops of white Nuvo  and a stamped sentiment.

The ink mustn't have been completely dry as the white Nuvo soaked it up so now the little drops are green but in real life it looks OK!

So today it looks like we are moving from Tier 3 into full lockdown next week. At least I have a freshly pained craft space to spend my time in!

Oh and I bought a rather large rug online which covers MOST of the area I work in.... bets on bouncing ink pads anyone?????

It always happens doesn't it? My room definitely needs doing but where do I put all the stuff?
Anyway, your card is lovely and such a great sentiment...

Great card and great sentiment too. Ink pads are a bit like bread and jam - always land sticky side down - commonly known as 'sod's law' I think

Beautiful greens blended together and look terrific. How wonderful you have a nice new room to craft in. It's only right you should be the one to initiate the rug!

Oh this is beautiful, what a great card, I love all the texture from the linen card. I once dropped a bottle of ink and the lid popped off and left a huge mark on the bedroom carpet!!! Ooops!!! Stay safe and enjoy the rest of the weekend, Hazel xx

Great shades of green and a really lovely leaf image, simple but very effective. How lucky with the ink pad my last encounter was onto to a new pair of pale blue trousers.

I really like this design. The linen texture comes out beautifully and everything on here is placed exactly where it should be. Well done. Enjoy your upgraded craft room:)

A stunning card Viv and although your white drops turned green, I like them a lot. I think we can all tell tales of droped ink pads, ink side down, I know I can and droped paint brushes too. Because of lack of space I currently have a spray booth sitting on the floor, I may be tempting fate there.

Love this Viv, great texture and tone on tone and just enough interest in the background with those stencils. It doesn't matter at all that the drops are green and not white, a happy accident I think xx

A lovely card Viv, love the linen texture and all the shades of green

( You should see the carpet in my room and I'm stuck with it, carpet fitter who was doing the hall took one look in here and more or less said "No Way"
