Excited!

A couple of weeks ago I was asked by the TIOT team to join them.
TIOT has been a challenge blog that I have tried to link up to as often as I could so I was super excited to have been asked!

So here's my first effort as part of the DT for this week's challenge which is 'Let's Get Messy'.

I can get messy when I have to - but getting messy and producing something which actually looks OK is a bit more difficult!

I love Alco Inks and simply don't use them enough so this was the perfect challenge to wipe the dust from them.

I stamped a large Hydrangea (For the Love of Stamps) onto vellum and heat embossed then carefully cut round it before popping it on the top of the inky panel, then  wrapped it up with a vellum strip (word from the same stamp set).

Please pop over to the challenge blog and check out what 'mess' the rest of the team have made 😊
and thanks for looking here today - hope you will join in our challenge too! x

Congrats on joining that DT, what an honour for you. I do love hydrangeas and alcohol inks, so this card is right up my street. Using the vellum was such a good idea, it has worked brilliantly. Thank you for the inspiration xx

Stunning AI background, so beautiful with your velum hydrangea ♥
Hi Viv,
I just went back to some of you house buying updates from a couple of years ago. I will be back in Swansea this week hopefully to finalize the sale of my late mothers house and I was thinking of you and your very stressful time. I've never had to sell a house in the UK before as I've lived in Canada for the last 35yrs and things are very different here. With what should have been one of the easiest sales - no chain- 1st time buyer and an estate sale- OMG it's taken 5 mths to date- I am convinced it's incompetence and lack of inertia by the solicitors. Someone really needs to sort this process out, we could have gotten the whole thing done and dusted in less than a month. Fingers crossed it's sold :(

Big congrats on becoming a TioT DT member Viv and what a stunning first project you have treated us all too. Fabulous background, I really love how the inks separate and granulate. The hydrangea looks so pretty sat upon it.

Yay!! Congrats to you! Fabulous card Viv!

The color effect of the background looks stunning and great idea to simply heat emboss on vellum so that the flower doesn’t compete with the background colors. Great to be on the team with you:)

Thank you for the inspiration, Viv, because I need to dust off my alcoholic inks, too! You've used my fave colors and my fave flower! I used to have a plant in blue shades and your blue hues from pale to purplish look just like my blue hydrangea did!💙Hugs, Dolly

Well you kept this quiet Mrs. T! Many congratulations Viv, this is a perfect fit for you and I’m thrilled that they’ve snapped you up. It’s actually one of my favourite challenges, although I don’t seem to do much blogging of late. Your card is really beautiful, I love the contrast between the white hydrangea and your lovely background xx
