The latest challenge at Try It On Tuesday starts today and our theme is 'FOR A LADY'.
Any project accepted as long as it fits our challenge theme so hope you can join us.
I've been painting recently so had a piece of watercolour card out on the desk and instead of putting it in the remains box I used it for this.
The left hand side background was smooshed and because it's watercolour card it absorbed it and made it more subtle than I actually intended but I think it works.
Blue, green and brown inks and for once the colours were where I wanted them - although I think maybe next time I might try lightly wetting the watercolour card first.
Stamps are a mix of Altenew and Rare Earth, used Walnut Stain ink and sprayed lightly before stamping.
Matted onto dark brown card.
Thanks for looking today - hope everything is well in your part of blogland! x

Peonies
This is an embossing folder I ordered as soon as I saw it released! Like lots of things I buy, I got it and it went in the storage for embossing folders.... where it stayed!
I had a square piece of black card so just wanted to have an experiment as I'd seen so many lovely examples of simple cards using 3D folders and a brushing of ink.
Quite happy with the result using Brilliance Moonlight White over the top of the Altenew 'Ambridge Bouquet' folder and I have to say the folder is fantastic to use. The impression it leaves is fab!
I added a white heat embossed sentiment.
Think the next make using it I'll try some watercolouring over the top... seeing as how I am now the proud owner of the complete set of Mondeluz Aquarelle Pencils 😊 - courtesy of my wonderful husband 💕 who proved he actually DID listen when I dropped the hint!
Haven't joined in many challenges recently but am going to link this over at

New Challenge - Try It On Tuesday
Please pop over to the challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT have done this time!
I just had a bit of fun with a spotty stencil and some pretty Distress Oxide colours.
From the top - Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Blueprint Sketch, Picked Raspberry and Fossilized Amber.
Die cut a few different sized circles and simply stamped some sea/beach themed images in the same colours.
Used a little Wink of Stella in the same shades on the stamped circles so it has a teeny shimmer in real life.
Thanks for looking today and hope you can join us for this challenge - we welcome all types of crafting not just cards as long as it fits with the challenge theme!

Sparkly Flower
(I'll share the others I made at some point.)
I love this floral spray stencil from Honey Doo - it comes as a pair - this smaller one and a really large one big enough to fill a DL card (which I have - twice!!)
I used another Honey Doo stencil for the background and inked lightly in pastel colours.
The floral spray was done using Glitter Kiss paste which is amazingly sparkly and I love it!
Finished with a gold embossed sentiment.

I am though having a lot of bother trying to find somewhere inside the new place to get decent pics, eventually I will find somewhere that isn't full of shadows or is that bright everything looks ice blue white!
We've had some beautiful weather the last few days - fingers crossed we get more of the same!
Hope the sun is shining in your part of blogland and thanks for looking. x

Circles
This is a quick scheduled post from me as although we have FINALLY moved into our lovely new home (soooooo happy!!) we will not have an internet connection until at least the middle of this month and uploading pics is taking a massive toll on my mobile data allowance!
So my make here was intended as a DT card but as CAS Mix Up is temporarily on hold we have no challenges for a short while so I thought I would just share it anyway!
Various circle stencils and circle dies, sponging and stamping to make this birthday card!
Until then, thanks for looking and and any comments you may leave, I hope it won't be too long before I can catch up with you all again. x

February Twofer
(Picture heavy post!) The 'Twofer Challenge' this month has the theme of Balloons - ( 'Twofer' - you have to make two cards
for different occasions using the same stamps/dies/stencils.)
My first make is using an edger die which I bought last year and never used (another NBUS- this room is full of them!).
Despite it looking big and easy (and I thought versatile) there's not many different way really to use it - it is what it says - an 'edger die' and that's it!
BUT - it is OK for relatively CAS cards needed in a hurry if you're OK with fiddling about putting the different coloured balloon centres in.
By changing the balloon colours and/or using glitter card etc I suppose it may come in useful for Anniversaries and other Celebrations?
My balloon centres are cut from a piece of Peacock Feathers smooshed watercolour card and I used a piece of black card to secure them. A few ink spatters and a sentiment - job done.
The second card uses one of the white balloon diecuts from the first.
I coloured it with a Promarker.
I love this 'Inspired by not endorsed by Banksy' girl from Bee Crafty - she's called 'Hope'.
She was stamped onto an ink blended background (Speckled Egg sky and Twisted Citron ground) and added a tree stamp that was a magazine freebie.
Layered some Glossy Accents on the balloon and drew the strings from the balloon with a thin Posca Pen. Finished with an Inylicious sentiment.
Overall I am not too disappointed with it although probably the balloon is a little big for the right perspective! (Crafter's Licence!)

If you've stayed right here to the very end I send hugs from my pleasantly warm and almost sunny part of blogland! x

CAS Mix Up October Mid Month Reminder
My challenge of Tone on Tone stencilling over at CAS Mix Up has reached the mid way stage. Hope you can join in - it really is an easy technique and gives some great effects with your stencils.
For my mid month card I used Altenew inks.
