Inky

We have some lovely weather today - although it is windy it is warm. Took full advantage and stripped the bed, all dry in 2 hours. Kind of lifted my mood a little bit seeing sheets blowing out on the line with a blue sky above although by no means has the feeling of restlessness disappeared.

The celebratory birthday challenge at Allsorts is entitled 'I Love' - which asks that you do something that you love or use something that you love. This was quite a difficult choice for me.
I love creating CAS cards but - I also think there's nothing better than getting out ink blenders and stamps and making messy fingers!

So it was the ink blending and stamps option that I chose to do using stamps from two of my fave companies - Inkylicious and Lavinia.

I just adore this cat! I am trying to make my mind up if he and the birdie are friends having a nice chat or whether he is plotting how he can reach the birdie from his mushroom!

I think as there's so much bad stuff going on in the World, that I would prefer them to be best buddies and while away the time together.
I do intend to stamp a sentiment on the top right side eventually but I am keeping this for my own stash so a sentiment will be added when I decide what I'm going to use it for!

Am also sharing this over at Sweet Stampin' where the theme is 'Pets'.

Thanks for looking today - I hope the sun is shining for you too. x

Difficult choice, you’re great at both styles. And what a beautiful scene that came to. Lovely design, I do like the effect of the subtle script detailing and your mix of silhouette elements.

Lovely ink blending here and great choice of stamps. I reckon we can say the bird and cat are friends - don't think he'd any success if he tried jumping at the bird from there anyway. He'd just look foolish because the bird woild have flown 😀

A lovely card Viv, great composition with those stamps. I hope this cat and little bird are friends, although I think the bird is taunting the cat!

A stunning background, fabulous images and a really lovely creation, you can always join again with a CAS card, up to three entries. Thank you for joining our 'I love...' challenge at Allsorts.
On a personal note, been busy cooking, huge amount of tomatoe and onion soup from the toms and onions that we grow, three apple pies from apples given by SIL Mum. Veg curry for my Daughter (not a veggie but doesn't like chicken) Chicken curry for my SIL and now the Grandsons like it to so have to make even bigger portions, not to mention meals. I've got backache. Supposed to be nice again tomorrow so will be my bed changing day, do you want to come and do my ironing?

I think puss and the birdie are bet mates. Wonder what they are talking about.
This is a lovely scene with a super background. Hugs Mrs A.

I am totally confident the cat won't catch that birdie Viv but it's beautifully put together, stamped and inked and as you know I'm a big Lavinia fan.

Kath sounds like she's been busy, here it's been a pickle week and veggies keen arriving in my kitchen like London buses.

Many thanks for joining in with our 11th Birthday celebrations at Allsorts challenge with our lovely creation.

Why not also link to the A/G option of our first challenge at https://www.welovechocolatebaroque.uk/

Wonderful card Viv! I love the scene and the cat is so cute... If it were my boy cat, they would be friends... If it was my female cat not so... she is such a pain but that said she's never caught a bird. Enjoy today it maybe the last of summer...

A beautiful card Viv and I have the mushroom stamp by Inkylicious, although I don’t use it very often. I absolutely agree with your comment on my blog about the sea. There’s something really special about the way it makes you feel and I have to say that I felt so much better in myself after a very short time of watching the waves. I’d be happy to live in the country or at the seaside! xx

Oh, this is so lovely, Viv! Your ink blending is spot on and I love that this kitty and bird are best friends! The script stamping adds wonderful interest and dimension.

The I love also extends to this beautiful card Viv as I do love it, and such pretty colours and wonderful ink blending, and the mix of stamps is great with the sweet small toadstools, and then the larger one for your cute cat to sit on and talk to the bird...yes, I'm sure they are chatting and putting the world to rights..lol. I love that bit of blue script in the sky and also the water splattering you have done too. x
