The In Beween Bit

Does anyone else always think the bit between Christmas and New Year is odd? I always feel like we should be doing SOMETHING but don't know what, although this year restrictions have made the decisions on what to do for us - which is NOT A LOT!
We have however been out this morning for a walk as we had ⛄snow overnight and I simply had to get out in it (love💝💝 it!). Hope it lasts but it probably isn't going to as some of it has gone already .. 😞
So my share today is a Snowy Scene

A one layer card using a rectangle stencil to make the mask round the edges.

The stamps are by Hobby Art called 'Country Walk'
I used Speckled Egg DI for the sky - fast becoming my 'go to' colour now for  EVERYTHING!

A little bit of sponging for snowdrifts (which don't show up very well in the pic) and the rest coloured with watercolours.

Sharing at
Alphabet - S for Snow Scene

and here's a couple of pics from this morning -

Thanks for calling in. Stay safe. x

A gorgeous snowy scene and two lovely photos! This is only my second inbetween time since finishing work and I have to admit I am not using it productively.Still, it is better than using it to plan for next term, lol. your scene is beautifully coloured. I love your speckled egg sky too- perfect! No snow for us, and I don't think we will get any this time now - just foggy and grey. Perfect crafting weather, lol

I am totally with you on the in-between bit. A really super scene. lovely sky and a really great snowy feel to the card. Looks like no-one is up yet as not a footprint in sight, hate it when you start getting footprints it just spoils the lovely snow.

Yes I go along with your feelings about the 'bit in between' - always seems more difficult to settle to anything than it is usually although this past year has thrown up quite a few times when I have had to shake off the 'what's the point' vibes. A lovely snowy scene on your card and also from the pictures taken outside. Here's to what we hope is a better year to come - onwards and upwards!! All the best.

A beautiful snowy scene, Viv. No snow here, althought it was predicted that we might get some. It certainly is a strange 'in-between bit' this year. I hope 2021 will be a better year for us all. xx
