A little paint

As ideas have deserted me I haven't done much over the last few days.
Our weather did nothing to inspire either - it went from a lovely Spring day to howling wind and horizontal rain!

With nothing else to do I just got out the watercolour paints. I find watercolouring is very therapeutic even though I am not an artist - I cannot draw at all and normally my watercolouring is confined to using with stamps.

This one was just a little freehand fiddling and to be honest it would never qualify as a work of art but I am content to have produced it.

(I have a recollection of seeing 4 large mirrored glass pictures depicting the seasons with the tree foliage done with blown glass when out at a restaurant with friends a long time ago, so maybe that is what prompted this)

It's been a really really tough week personally 😩 (as no doubt it has been for others) - so am trying to keep wearing the big girl's pants 👖 and crossing my fingers that the end of the storm is not too far away and the golden sky 🌈 will appear.

Sharing this simple make over at AAA Cards.

(Note to Blog Buddy Ros - I will never match your drawing skills! x)

I am so impressed, Viv. I'm loving this tree and the fact it is freehand. Great job and good for you for doing it. I hate that you had a tough week and hope things are better now. Crafting is a good way to get lost in what you are doing and taking your mind off things.

Viv I love your watercolour sketch card...the subtle colours are lovely. I really envy people are good at drawing and sketching they make it look so easy but its not...but your tree is brilliant..

Absolutely beautiful Viv, a really lovely CAS card.
Hope the coming days get easier for you. I had my jab a week or so ago and it made me feel that there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. xx

This is gorgeous Viv, I'm sure if I tried to paint a tree it would not look this good.

Don't be so hard on yourself... I think it's wonderful! Painting always soothes me even if I don't get it right.

So sorry to hear you've had a tough week Viv x. Yes the weather had been all over the place this week....One night DH was out in the early hours rescuing our 'cardboard/paper' bin in the howling winds and another day I spotted the first signs of daffodils coming up! x.
What a delicate and pretty card and it is beautiful and well done you on the freehand fiddling....I love it!.....x

A lovely free range tree. I think you are hiding your light under a bushel. I did try pulling me big girls nickers up but they keep falling down.!! Can’t wait for the warmer weather to kick in. The squirrel has been emptying the bird feeder on a daily basis and there are two magpies building a ginormous nest in the trees outside our garden so plenty to keep us occupied from the dinning room window. Hugs Mrs A.
