That Boat again!

Another card using 'Of The Sea' from Crafty Individuals- (CI-559). This actually was the first of many makes with what has become a 'much loved' stamp!

I teamed it this time with a stamp called 'Fishermans Wharf' from Crafty Endeavours which although purchased last year is Never Before Used!

Stamped the boat first, then masked it off before stamping the Wharf in the background.

I had to extend the Wharf stamp to make it fit the 6 x 6 base but was pleased that it looked OK  despite it obviously not being intended for 'repeat stamping'!

I watercoloured the boat and the base of the card with Distress Inks.

Applied a little bit of Speckled Egg ink blending to the sky and used one of my fave 'Sea' themed quote stamps.

The idea to leave the buildings uncoloured was inspired by Julie

Am trying not to consecutively post what I have made with this boat  as you will all get sick of it! But - without doubt has been one of my better impulse buys!

Thanks for dropping in, I appreciate it. xx

So happy that I inspired you to buy and the USE this fab image, sadly there will be no more Port Sunlight visits, what will we do? :)

Great work with the row of buildings behind that super boat - it all works so well and I like that you left the background in black and white. Impressive!

Oh I would love to be at the seaside right now having fish and chips and listening to the seagulls ,lovely how you have left the buildings colour free and painted your boat and sand ..

A fabulous result, and very clever extending the background stamp

A really great image and love the way you have done the design, just colouring the foreground. A great sentiment too, one I am sure my Son-in-Law would totally agree with. He is the Captain of a Private Yacht, a huge one at that, the owner is a billionaire many times over. He should be home on leave now but the bloody virus as put paid to that.

Great card. I remember as a child watching any Jacque Cousteau program I could. I was always so fascinated by them. [Bunny]

You can post as many as you like... I love anything nautical! I love the background stamp with your lovely painted boat... it works so well and leaving the BG unpainted really adds such interest.... Brilliant Viv... Stay warm, it's bitter out there and you really don't need a fall, I'm still recovering from mine!

It all looks seamless Viv! The background buildings look as if its part of the boat and I can't see where you extended the buildings. Love that you left those uncoloured and used primaries for the foreground. And I would LOVE to see all the things you make with your boat stamp in one gallery! Doesn't it make you feel great when you impulse-buy something and it turns out that you use it all the time ;) Vicky x

This turned out beautiful. I can’t see tell tale signs of the extension of the background and I do like partial coloring.

You have done a fabulous job of masking and repeat stamping, Viv! I love how you've left the buildings uncolored and watercolored the bottom! Very artsy and fun! It would work fabulously for a guy!

I can see why this boat is a favourite image of yours, Viv! It's fabulous! And I love how you've stamped the wharf in the background. Great job matching up the image to make it longer. xx

You were right to follow your pulses when you bought this boat, Viv! It has so much personality, especially when watercolored so perfectly like you have. I love the beach and sky to and how you left the wharf b/w, ala Jules. Honestly, if you hadn't said, I never would have known you had to repeat stamp it. I think it looks seamless. Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell
