We have a new challenge today at CAS MIX UP set by Linda. This month is Watercolour month and Linda has set the theme of 'Things with Wings'.
But here's my card for our challenge -
Green shades are not colours I use often, maybe I was inspired by all the green in the garden!
Brushos applied first then once the card had dried I stamped the background with some grungy stamps which I have had for ever, then stamped the 2 butterflies direct onto the card for placement.
The 2 butterflies were from different sets - and remember I mentioned about blob pools?
Well my first attempt ended up very blobby and was still blobby when I stamped and fussy cut the butterflies so I smooshed them through the wet bits and then stuck them on top of the stamped ones!
Hope you can join us this month - the rest of the DT have some fabulous makes to inspire you over on the blog!
Watercolour, Wings and keep your make CAS - that's all you need to do and I am looking forward to seeing your creations! x

I really love all things green so I think it is fabulous. Well done for getting out and playing with your brushos and what a great way to save your card. The butterflies look right at home and I love how you get little blobs of different colours from brusho paints. Brilliant xx
I have the same results with Brushos, Viv! Smooshing the butterflies in the pool of color worked beautifully and this background is perfect! This is going into my CASE file! Thanks for the inspiration!
Fabulous card Viv
Brilliant card Viv. that green is lovely, your smooshing works well and your dappled butterflies the finishing touch..super! xx
Love your Brushos greens background for your stamped and fussy cut butterflies, Viv. Perfect sentiment too. Loved how you added some of the pooled Brushos onto your butterflies. TFS mf..Love and Hugs..Nancy

I think that is part of the fun with brushos, you never know what it's going to turn out like. I love this card and the green tone that you've used.

Brilliant "save" with the butterfly smooshing. This card looks great Viv. Nice to see lots of green, and of course, I just love a grungy stamp! xxx
You have achieved a very controlled area with your gorgeous shades of green Brushos, Viv! I usually have those little powders everywhere! :) Love the fabulous grunge stamping in black for added contrast. And so creative with your watercoloured arrows near the bottom. Great save by adding fussy-cut butterflies overtop. Gorgeous design and beautiful card, my friend! xx
bold and beautiful!
I think this looks fabulous Viv and I love the grungy background stamping, and the green Brushos look beautiful, and an inspired idea to smoosh the butterflies in them and then add them over the top. x
Your Brushos are beautiful on this Viv! Love the grungy stampings (I never know how to use those kind of stamps!) a wonderful mix of colors!
It came out great and so pretty. I always think Brusho's blob so I understand what you're saying. It does look great so it worked!
You achieved great results with the Brushos Viv, love the colours and the different stamped elements on your card.
Beautiful Viv, love the soft brusho watercolour stripe and the layered stamping ♥
Love this Viv. The Brusho background looks amazing, love the shades of green. The grungy stamping adds depth and great texture, and the butterflies look so pretty.
I know what you mean about using Brushos, they definitely do their own thing but, they've worked so well here .... love it!
So beautiful, fantastic design.
