CAS Christmas!

Just when you thought it was time to forget about Christmas here's another Christmas card!
Once again this year I am going to try and take part in  the monthly challenges at  CAS Mix Up's  sister blog CAS Christmas.    (My DT card for Mix Up is the post below this one!)

This month's challenge prompt was Silhouette.

My bauble stencil is one bought from Inkylicious a long time ago.
I used Scattered Straw and  Speckled Egg for the background, with a little inking of Squeezed Lemonade to highlight the stars.

The Nativity scene stamp was part of the Sentimentally Yours set by Phil Martin and was a magazine freebie - I used it a lot this year.

I added a small piece of cord to the top and I lightly inked the edges of the white card before matting it onto black. The sentiment is from Penny Black.

Another card for the 2021 pile and a nice quick make!

We've had quite a bit of snow here over the last few days - and it is really cold.
In between the snow falling we have seen some stunning blue skies and if it wasn't for the white stuff on the ground from inside you would think it was summer!

I hope you're safe and warm wherever you are in the world and thanks for taking the time to visit my blog today. x

What a super bauble, love the subtle background and the great image, a really great creation. Isn't it strange, Christmas is only just over and we are making more Christmas cards, I have been just the same today.

Gorgeous ornament Viv! Love the soft colouring of the blue and yellow. The nativity scene fits perfect inside the ornament and I love that you've highlightted the stars with more yellow. Beautiful card! Enjoy your falling snow and blue skies ... it's nothing but rain, rain and more rain here. I with it would snow! xx

This challenge is a good way of collecting some cards ready for Christmas without a last minute rush. Lovely effect here with the scene inside a bauble.

You can keep the snow up your way, I don't want any down here, even if it does come with blue skies. Having said that I suppose if we have to have it now is a good time as no-one is going anywhere! Great card, love the soft blue and yellow background xx

Only 300+ days to go Viv... Lovely card! I like the image inside your bauble... I have that stencil too but don't think I've used it. Take care and stay warm... Lock down again!

A beautiful card Viv. I make Christmas cards all year long in the hope that I have enough when it gets to December. I've not bought a card from the shop for Christmas or Birthdays for the last fifteen years. However I do sometimes wonder if all of the time and effort that I put into making the cards in the first place is appreciated by some.

Happy New Year
Sue xx
