Our lives have changed dramatically over the last week or so and without doubt there are more changes to come.
What I cannot get my head round is why people though seem incapable of doing as advised and just think that they can carry on like this is party and holiday season - hearing reports of pubs still open, car boot sales taking place, queuing up to get onto the top of mountains (I mean SERIOUSLY???) and clearly not observing social distancing - so sooner rather than later I hope that more stringent measures are enforced before more lives are lost.
So now my little rant is over I will share the single make since Tuesday!
It doesn't show in the pic but the dots are actually pearly - achieved by using an old gift card and dragging some acrylic pearl paint across the inside of the embossing folder.
Looks quite pretty in real life so not too bad considering I am struggling for ideas.

Very pretty card Viv and to say you are not motivated!! It's lovely. I am not focused on the crafting at present...very unsettled today as I can't visit my 99 year old mum...but we spoke on the phone and she said see you soon...bless her I hope I do! I agree with your rant and wrote an epistle but have deleted it after all it's all about the crafting as it should be. Keep em coming girl! and take care. xx
I couldn't agree more with your opening comments Viv x.
What a pretty card. The embossing folder with the pearl paint is such a fabulous idea and what dainty die cut flowers. A beautiful card Viv and yes it is hard to settle at the moment x.
It's a lovely card Viv, the splattered die cut is so pretty.
It has been a strange few days and like you I can't understand some folks cavalier/selfish attitudes.
Take care and stay safe.

That’s beautiful Viv. It’s such a pretty and delicate card and I love the touch of pink too. I absolutely agree with you on the state of things at the moment. We haven’t left the house in over a week and then to watch people carrying on like it’s holiday season is infuriating. I can only think that they don’t watch the news or that they actually think that they are immortal. I’m like you in that I’ve kept going into my craft room over the last few days but I’ve made nothing. I just can’t settle and I somehow feel so overwhelmed by everything in there. You take care of yourselves and stay safe my crafty friend xx
Such a pretty card, I love the pearly dots idea!
Your card is very pretty Viv love your splattered background...I’m like you can’t really settle to anything at the moment it’s all very worrying we’re vulnerable category but I worry for our family especially the grandchildren
Stay safe
Anne
Agree with you totally!
Well you may have only made one card but it's a stunner. Love the embossing in the background.
A really lovely and delicate creation, the tad of colour is perfect and quite sufficient, great touch with the liquid pearls.
I am starting to get really cross with peoples behaviour and ignorance.

I think the rant is well deserved. Where is the common sense in our world?
Lovely card. I love the pearl paint and the beautiful flowers.

I agree with you Viv, some people seems to be carrying on as normal without a care in the world. The advice and rules are there for a reason.
Your card is beautiful, I love the subtle, delicate colours. xx
Gorgeous card, lovely dies used.
All our pubs clubs and social events, even the big beach in Sydney has been closed..xx
I'm exactly the same Viv, I made just one card last week, well three if you count the two that went in the bin. And I'm totally with your rant.

Such a pretty card and as you say the pearly effect must be so much nicer for real. I know what you mean about not settling on doing anything in particular - I'm sure it is a sign of the general unsettling atmosphere around. I agree with your rant - why to some folks think these restrictions don't apply to them??? As for the panic buying - don't get me started, wonder where it is all being stored and how much of the perishable items will be thrown away unnecessarily. Sorry, that's my rant over too. Take care
These are indeed very scary times and I also worry a lot and am finding it difficult to craft. For once I wish time would fly and these weeks will soon pass by.
Your card is beautiful, very elegant and the pearl drop look great. Take care and stay safe. Marlies x
Your card is so pretty. People are being ridiculous aren't they, acting like idiots. Stay safe.
Wow that's a nifty idea and looks good. Hope the new restrictions announced today will finally make people see sense. This is for real and is not going to go away. Time for a reality check.
Staying indoors and have plenty to keep occupied with. The Doc is catching up on all those niggly jobs he keeps putting off around the house. The garden is never going to be so weed free!! Stay safe and well. Hugs Mrs A.
Such a pretty card Viv and a beautiful die cut.
Keep safe and well

Its a beautiful card Viv and a great design.
I'd willingly join you for a rant, thoughtless and selfish are a couple of the milder words that I am thinking these days.
Stay safe and well.

I agree with your "rant", but on to lovelier things... Your card, what a great design! Such subtle textures and colors, perfect for our Clean and Simple challenge. Thanks for playing along with Krafty Chicks challenge, hope to see you again!
Lovely card Viv! The pearl dots and pretty flowers are so soft and delicate. Love your design!
There will always be those that don't think rules apply to them. We have that happening here as well. The gov't is instituting fines for those that are continuing to put lives at risk by getting together in groups. Hope that works. xx
