Sunshine

We are blessed today with clear blue skies and some warm sunshine - for a short while I have sat outside listening to nothing except the sounds of birds singing - and have been able to put all the worries about what everyone in the world is currently experiencing to the back of my mind.
Solitude is far better in the sunshine than underneath grey skies!
I am sharing my own little bit of sunshine with you in this card.

I thought the sentiment was very apt as Nature does really seem to laugh in the sunshine.

My smooshed background is a small piece left over from another project and has some Mica powders mixed in so in real life it has lovely sparkle.
The 'corn' is part of a Woodware stamp, heat embossed in white and the die cut butterfly was cut from an odd piece of pearlised black card.

I received a card similar to this last year from a blogging buddy and it really was sunshine in an envelope!

I hope you too are blessed with a nice day wherever you are and that everyone is staying safe.
Thanks for visiting me today. x

Oh wouldn't I love some peace. Wouldn't think people are supposed to be keeping away from one another in our street. Kids out playing with an adult from our next door!!!!!!!!He makes more racket than the kids. Do people have a brain? Lets all touch the Frisbee then!!! Fella over the back with a field has turned it into a motorbike rally cross track so bikes and machinery of some description going all day. We need dark nights and pouring rain again!!! My turn for a rant today. Your card however screams sunshine and I love you background and use of the stamp. I can't even get my head around crafting! xx

A lovely sunny card, just like the weather. I've been 'haymaking' - aka mowing the lawn which had become quite long.

Gorgeous piece of smooshing Viv, I can see poppies swaying among the corn. I'm lucky enough to hear birdsong aswell and I've also noticed, over the last few weeks, a lack of plane vapour trails in the sky. There's always a silver lining X

Another brilliant creation Viv, love the background and the lovely images and a really nice sentiment.
My washer doesn't know what has hit it these past couple of days, due to break tomorrow though.

Thank you so much for the beautiful bit of sunshine you have captured with your schparkly background, Viv! Add to that the sheen from the embossing and the pearliness of the butterfly and you've got a gorgeous design! I hope you get more days of sitting in the sun, listening to the bird songs! Take care, my friend, and be safe!😷 Hugs, Dolly

Your sunshine has brightened my day, Viv! Gorgeous card with those bright colours. Love the sentiment and your white heat embossed corn. Hope you are still having sunny weather and am enjoying the bird songs. We actually had a little bit of snow overnight. What??!! Snow in April. I have never seen that before. It's been crazy cold over night, but the days are fairly warm. Looking forward to it being warmer and enjoying outside more. xx
