Irish Luck

I am not an artist.
I cannot draw.
This is a bit of a hindrance when you want to try watercolouring without stamps!!
But not to be deterred I have finally managed to produce something without just stamping and colouring in which is passable...

I saw a technique some time back where you literally start off with four tiny spots of paint and then drag out the colour to make loose flower petals - been trying to master it - they made it look easy (it's not - well I don't think so anyway!!) but think I am getting there slowly!

CAS  Watercolour's challenge this month is 'Luck of the Irish' so it gave me an opportunity to try the technique on something that is a relatively easy shape.

It's not perfect but I am happy with it!

Fantastic job with not having a stamp. I'm always envious of those who can free hand it :)

Great that you've had a go with this technique - recognised straight away what it is so that's a result!!!!!

Viv this looks fabulous, well done, the shading is lovely.
(You asked - I tried to just dip my card, but sometimes it got submerged! I didn't find that it made much difference really. I also tried using just one colour, letting it dry and then dripped another AI into the water to build up the colour. - hope this helps)

Beautiful watercolouring and well done-I envy anyone who can draw/paint and when you watch them they make it look soooo easy you think I can do that---nope I can't!

This is so impressive Viv! Love your four-leafed clovers - that's a lot of luck right there! - and the way you've presented them with ink splatters, that layered die cut frame and the pink sequins. Vicky x
