Blooming Marvellous!

Happy Monday to you all.

I have spent today playing about with some new watercolours (a little treat to me - a Winsor & Newton half pan of 45 lush colours!)

It was good having some time to sit and lose myself as for obvious reasons things have been a little mad round here.

The stamps were a freebie from a mag. Not often I buy crafting mags but I liked this flower and the matching dies.

The flowers and the green leaves are all from the same set and I stamped everything in Versafine Black before playing with my new paints.
.
The black leaves are from SU. No idea why I coloured them black but it looked 'right' somehow! No matching die for these - all fussy cut!! Used leftovers for the flowers and leaves so am visiting the Playground (and have a note to explain my absence)!

A frame cut out with a stitched die then the card front run through with the EF, frame back in after a few paint spatters and a sentiment stamp from another set.  Job done!
(Although the weather here today has been anything but blooming marvellous that's for sure).

Many thanks to all of you who have left messages about my M-I-L. A long road ahead.

Sharing my blooms with

Thanks for looking - and happy crafting! x

Beautiful card, Viv, the flowers are so striking. Just catching up with your last few posts. Sorry to hear that your Mother-in-law has fractured bones in her back. Hope her recovery goes well and her medication is keeping the pain under control. xx

Gorgeous card Viv! Love the bright blooms and how they pop off all the glorious white space. The black leaves do look perfect. And your splatters are perfectly placed! xx

A very striking card Viv, the beautiful red of your flowers against that white background is fabulous. Many thanks for joining us at Penny Black and More Challenges this month xx

What a glorious creation Viv, the frame really draws the eye and the red against the white is so striking, good and effective use of those new colouring mediums. I also indulged a few weeks ago, mine were the full set of Inktense pencils, slow going so far as me and colouring don't go but I'm working on it.

Thanks so much for joining in with our 'Feminine' theme at Penny Black and More challenge.

Lovely water colouring here on these beautiful rises. I've also been missing for a while but slowly managing to catch up. Loved your card with those tiny flowers in the little window. Sometimes life just gets in the way of things we'd rather be doing but escaping into the crafty space is a great help I find. Hope your MIL continues to make good progress - take care.

What a fabulous card Viv - so fresh and elegant - and wonderful painting as well! I adore the whole design.

Been reading about your M-I-L - good grief! Hope she makes a full recovery - and as someone commented - don't you go making the bed!

Sorry I'm a bit late commenting!

Hugs

My oh my what a lovely card this is. Love the freebie set you have used love your precise fussy cutting on the black leaves. Mine wouldn’t have had any stalks left ! Only doing very simple cards at present that
I can use my right arm to do until my left shoulder gets sorted. Hugs Mrs A.

Gorgeous flowers Viv and love the pretty design with the stitched inset rectangle and swiss dots embossing looks great too. What fun to be playing with a lovely large set of W & N watercolours too. I often look at mags to see if their are any freebies that take my fancy but must have missed these as I'm sure they would have taken my eye. x
